National League half-times...

Braintree 0-0 Lincoln City
Cheltenham 0-0 Aldershot
Dover 2-0 Kidderminster
Eastleigh 0-0 Boreham Wood
Forest Green 1-0 Welling
Gateshead 1-3 Tranmere
Grimsby 2-0 Barrow
Guiseley 1-0 Altrincham
Halifax 0-1 Chester
Macclesfield 0-0 Southport
Woking 1-0 Bromley
Wrexham 0-1 Torquay

Tranmere and Chester the only sides in position to record 2 wins from 2 as it stands. Altrincham, Wrexham and Halifax at the other standing to get 2 defeats in 2.

Sounds like they were having problems with the flood lights.

What evidence is there to say bond would have done better?
Anyway for what it's worth brad Carroll should be playing right back!
Evidence would be that or so I'm lead to believe Bondy played RB in the league last season & the added bonus of being a belting Midfielder also, this type of durability Edmo has publicly stated he likes, Yes BC I forgot about him to be honest, Might do us a job.

2-0 at half time is probably a fair reflection of the game; we haven't really created any good chances.

Superb support from the travelling Barrow fans, many of whom have disappeared to lubricate their vocal chords for the second half. Tempted to go along as well! ;)

Looks like Cowps is the early season favourite for winning The Paddy Lacey Scapegoat award this season

Lacey was crap. Cowps isn't that bad! It's the second game of the season against the favourites for a league, give them a [SwearFilter] chance.

Some comments from Grimsby forum...
headingly_mariner wrote:What a pleasure that 1st half was, Barrow don't know what has hit them, we have pressed the ball so well and are causing them problems. Bogle looks a real player!!!!
Spidey wrote:Great 1st half from Town, some great passing, set pieces haven't been too great from Arnold though. Barrow got back into the game for the final 10 minutes, glad half time came when it did.
2nd half underway. Livesey gets a header wide almost straight away.

Quote from a Barrow lad at the game "Expected nothing but defeat from tonight but that first half was awful from us. Made it so easy for grimsby. Grand might aswell of put it in himself for the 2nd goal"
