Exactly Charlie. We have lost 900, read it again,900 fans from our first home game. I know there was all the hype of the new season, but to lose 900 fans is astonishing. Hope you read the forum Edmo.

Have to call bull [SwearFilter] on that too, I'm afraid. August bank holiday weekend fixtures traditionally draw lower crowds for almost every team. For example, last year Bristol Rovers had 7,000 for their opening game last season, and were down to 5,300 for the August 30th game. Gateshead had 1,700 for the opener and 1,100 for the 30th, and Wrexham's fell from 4,000 to 3,100 despite them having 10 points at this stage.

There are so many factors (I know a few who were at the races instead), but the fact is that it kind of levels off around now and either builds up if a team does well, or falls gradually over the next few months if they continue to lose. But it's obviously Edmo's fault.

You can call it what the [SwearFilter] you like. Blame it on the races again, or anything else, happy clappers like you always do, rather than look at the bigger picture.

Haha, yeah, obviously a "happy clapper" because I used facts to point out a drop in attendance. I've been as [SwearFilter] off as anyone in recent years over the absolute shambles on the pitch, but the past 12 months there's been very few games I've walked away dissatisfied. Just seems like some miserable [SwearFilter] on here actually want everything to fail so they've got something to moan about. World would be boring if everything went to plan, ey?

You have used figures from other teams which has absolutely nothing to do with us. I could ramble off lot's of facts and figures about all sorts ( but I don't want to bore everyone else on here. You said "a few" people you know went to the races, how many, 900. You also said things level off about now, what the hell does that mean. We have only played a handful of games and we have lost almost a 1,000 fans. It will be next week. We are losing them because we are not very good ( being polite) and for no other reason. It's Saturday night and I have better things to do. You can have the last word if you want, you will feel like the winner !
