Im not going to start calling for heads to start rolling but the fact is so far it seems recruitment, tactics, selection, set pieces (both attacking and defending) and fitness/mentality have been found seriously wanting and the book has to stop with the manager.
Talk of challenging for the play offs was always very optimistic but other than Cook I struggle to think of any of our players who would be anywhere near a starting place in a top 10 team from what we've seen so far.
Edmo really has got his work cut out because we dont have a 'Barrow' to kick start our season and the longer things stay the same the harder it'll be to turn things round

We are falling short all over the park at the moment.Fair enough, I've only seen the home games but on paper the away form is much worse anyway. Not selecting Newby today was crazy... Edmo's old boys club?

Talk of challenging for play offs may have been optimistic, but don't be drawn into setting expectations too low either and that this season is just about "survival", we are supposed to have consigned that word to the memory and Casson will be expecting a lot more. If the crowds start dipping below 1300 then that will tell you exactly what the fans think of it. A quarter of the season gone is just around the corner and so far it's not been convincing at all, Fofana? Mellor? these players were brought in to step it up for us, where are they?

Yet was the stand-out player in pre-season, has a goal to his name which is more than some attacking players have and impressed when coming on against Southport.

I defend our club our manager our players whenever I can. I now find myself completely anti Edmonson,for many of the reasons Stated earlier in this thread. I cannot comprehend how you dominate a team high up the park, make the break through then decide to sit back and let them come at you,unbelievable.A defender as a manager I guess,but not the way I enjoy football to be played. Cannot see him lasting.

The Kendal, Dover, Grimsby and Southport games presumably where he played quite well and looked to play on the front foot. That Symmingtons biggest contribution was that horrendous first touch at Dover and that New lad Van whatever has been very poor in his 2 games. Plus he's a Barrow lad who cares more than most of them

Not everyweek whilst I still play. I was at the Guiseley game and he didnt have the best of games. Think he needs a start . Played very well against southport when he came on.

Unless Elliot had a knock from the tackle Sat it does seem odd for him not to make the bench even?

There seems a similar patter to last year developing here - tinkering like last year until the FA cup defeat when it seemed PC had a word... perhaps it's time for the chairman to make another call.

I genuinley think Elliott isnt getting played because he hasnt played 10-15 games of league football.

I don't think he knows his best team- We've brought in two "strong" midfielders in Fofana and Mellor. Yet neither have featured last two games . Not sure why- but it can't be a great confidence thing for them. I've seen Fofana twice- first game of the season v Dover and he was awarded MoM- second time he had a stinker and was took off. Mellor- not sure where he has been last two games? not seen enough of him to say and ready to stand corrected if he featured today, or is injured?

Midfield remains a problem area. Not getting Andy Bond who has all the experience needed at this level and above was frustrating- considering he said he would have liked to come back?!. Maybe the budget dictated that one and he'd already secured his midfield.

Similarities to last season - tinkering perhaps when not needed, unless injuries are the reason.
