Sorry to say it but Darren Edmondson has taken us as far as he can. He did well last season winning us promotion, but his signings over the Summer have been poor and his tactical knowledge (or lack of) is fast coming to light. We can wait another 3, 6 or 10 matches but I feel the result will still be the same. Change is needed.

Seems to me that the important issue is one of substitutions. Cooky is good but he is not the quickest. JW is causing problems. Newby has pace. Grand kicks high and long over midfield. Cook should be the one sacrificed.
Think also the time is nigh when there is a serious risk of getting bogged down in relelgation. Edmo has not learned "how to" for this league. If no improvement then he should be let go BUT who do we get? The training regime is not working and some of the lads are starting to argue with each other.

You are the one that should be sacrificed for saying the same about Cook. It's obvious by the wording of your post you know zero about football. Criticising him for having no pace is an absolute insult . How many six foot plus centre forwards have pace. Not many, if they do they are athletes called Usain Bolt. Cooky is what he is. Take him out of the side and we might never score again. Have a think before you post again.

Have to agree that to suggest Cook should be the one to make way is absurd, he's virtually our only serious goal threat. Quite remarkable that he scores as many as he does considering the service to him is so poor. He makes a lot of the goals he scores himself and I genuinely think without him we'd probably go down.

What I don't like with Edmo and his use of substitutions is that its like he thinks he always has to use them. Its like he just uses them because he can, taking Walker off at Cheltenham a prime example as its possibly the most ridiculous substitution I've ever seen.

Whats also frustrating is that there are some decent footballers in the squad when allowed to play football, but we rarely get to see that.

I think he makes the unnecessary subs to keep those on the bench happy. He doesn't seem to have the tough personality which is sometimes necessary as a manager. He's too nice a guy at times.

I get that feeling too. He's a very nice bloke when you either speak to him one on one or hear him address a group, but there has to be a cut off point where a manager realises that being too nice could cost him his job.

We were talking about this in the train home yesterday. He doesn't come acrosss as someone who will give a good bollocking out.

I don't think we should consider getting rid of Edmo unless were seriously looking at relegation around Xmas. Our aim should be to stay up, and I think the pre season talk of play offs etc has put Edmo in a pretty crap position. Yeah the football is crap but I'd rather see us build gradually and become more of a self sustaining club and team than doing a Fleetwood.
