well the crowd's have been 600+ down on the first game and now everyone realises it is just an empty space it isn't going to get the punters in. Unfortunately It's not secure enough for all the good idea's that are being suggested. That and you have to actually be in the ground to use it does not make it a good venue for an early afternoon matchday meeting place.

I like the beer tent, however me and Danielle were the only two in there pre-match well I don't know after 14-35 when we left.
There's some tables and chairs in there and as I don't like to be crowded can Mr Casson please keep it for me?
Did object to being expected to drink out of a bottle though---no way. However the young girl obligingly went for a box of glasses.
Jonty what's wrong with meeting up in the beer tent?

Nothing- I think it could be a great pre match meeting place but for it to work fans need to be able to get access to it before coming through the turnstiles. ie from early afternoon. I don't think many will use it until they can get that bit sorted as 95% fans don't come into the ground until from 2:30- hence empty tent.

I bet you like it because you had two burly geezers looking after you.I watched Welling v Tranmere in a non crowded crossbar and Welling's equaliser could be the National league goal of the month. ;)

If it was done properly it could be pretty good. But there were about 10 chairs in there and 6 tables. £2.70 for a bottle of becks . . . luckily I opted for a can of Smiths at £1.50

Is there any advertising around the ground promoting the tent?

On Saturday, sat in the stand the reflection of the sun on the roof of the beer tent made viewing the match very difficult in the first half of the match.
Due to the glare off the roof it was hard to see things down that end of the pitch.
I was sat at the end near where the visiting fans are sighted.
Did anybody else experience this from other parts of the ground?

One thing I have noticed is that the blue and white on the crossbar wall has made way for white only at the crossbar end which added to the tent above gives a brighter appearance all round down that end, also the main stand wall at the front is now blue only which seems more pleasing to the eye, someones gone mad with a brush!!!

Waste of time really. Very badly organised , not looked after and if it was ever going to continue in this manner I am glad it's going.

Another shame really becuase its such a good idea and there is so muych that can be done with it. Myself and a few others were the only ones in there sat around one of the few tables and we came up with 5-10 really good ideas to make it a success.

Can't be good business employing two bar staff along with two outsourced bouncers who would have been picking up closer to £20 an hour than £10.

Nearly £3 a bottle? With literally no entertainment besides the two bouncers entering competition to see who can shaft the bar lass the quickest. Won't be going in there again. Another business opportunity done to lowest standard and forgotten about.

Yeah it’s a pity that as the tent is the only new asset we’ve seen that improves the ‘match day environment’ since the Main Stand went up. I’ve a feeling that if this asset had been given to the maintenance group to utilise they would have come up with something decent for the punters and perhaps made a few bob to boot. I could even have got my old decks out for a northern soul all dayer and perhaps spun ‘A Little Togetherness’ by the Younghearts, or maybe ‘Tightrope’ by Inez & Charlie Foxx for Edmo, or maybe (Cont. Pg. 94)
We will foller the soccer, over land and sea...
