Unsure whether this is a joke or not but he was probably the worst out of the lot of them! Complained every time he was given offside and consistently mouthed off to the ref (who was weak as [SwearFilter]) unpunished - can't remember exactly what he was booked for.

One of the best games for effort and spirit from the bluebirds I've seen ! Back 4 put a shift in , defence wise the whole team played well! Eastleigh are a good team , they passed it around the park well up until the final 3rd ! Grand played well , Livesey was class in the air and on deck , GK was catching every ball. Going forward was decent , Cook fought for every ball! A well earned victory v Eastleigh

That guy had a rat on all afternoon, he just looked like he didn't want to be there and was eventually hooked. Sometimes you see players who must have got to Forton and thought 'Just where the hell is this place? They got him from Nottingham Forest no less - the big jessie.

Also their sub Yemi Odubade played against us for Stevenage in the FAT Final 2010 - should have had a pen I think on the day but ultimately like yesterday the best team won and he ended up with a runners-up medal.

I thought it might have been him, that's a hell of a drop down from playing for Nottingham Forest in the Championship (even though I heard he was absolutely woeful) to Eastleigh in the conference, god knows what they are paying him but probably expecting him to be more professional than to go to Barrow and whinge at and abuse the officials all afternoon.

Eastleigh visit Alty a week on Tuesday and the Daily Echo reports that their manager "Richard Hill was left ruing two key refereeing calls after his Eastleigh side suffered a first defeat of their Vanarama National League campaign at Barrow on Saturday.
The game’s decisive moment arrived as early as the third minute when centre-half Paul Reid was adjudged by referee Richard Wigglesworth to have fouled home attacker Jason Walker in the Spitfires’ box, writes Paul McNamara. Walker emphatically slammed the resultant penalty high into the net for the afternoon’s only goal, but Eastleigh boss Hill was convinced that the eventual scorer was offside prior to winning the penalty.

Hill was further dismayed by the man-in-the-middle’s decision-making when Barrow 'keeper Joel Dixon escaped with a caution in the second-period for hauling down Yemi Odubade, so preventing the Spitfires’ sub from having a clear run at goal.

'There were two big decisions that he’s (the referee) made today and that’s affected the outcome of the game,' said Hill. 'It’s a tough job for them, but their job is to officiate the game , not to affect the outcome of the game. Today the referee has affected the outcome of the game. I was looking right across the line (leading up to the penalty decision) and two of them (Barrow attackers) were clearly offside. And should the goalkeeper be sent off? He’s clearly taken Yemi out and he’s the last man. Sometimes when you come to the north of England the laws can seem a bit different to those in the rest of the country'...

Hill added, 'I don’t think we deserved to win the game, although we probably didn’t deserve to lose it, either... At times today, I don’t think we were allowed to play. That comes down to the referee. But we didn’t do enough with the ball to warrant winning this game'...

Barrow boss Darren Edmondson’s position had been the subject of some conjecture last week after the club’s millionaire owner Paul Casson flew in from the USA following a mixed start to the Bluebirds’ campaign... 'I give Barrow a lot of credit,’ said Hill. 'They’ve closed us down and worked very, very hard. Eastleigh are in town. Their manager has said a few things over the last few days that will have perhaps put himself under pressure. But he’s said he’s the right man for the job and, on today’s evidence, he obviously is the right man for the job.'

Concerned that his own side’s work was 'hurried and forced,' as they tried to play at '100 miles per hour,' Hill made a triple change with 25 minutes to play, sending on Michael Green, Lee Cook and Odubade... 'I had to make a change to try and get back in the game. I thought it was an ideal time to try and force them back with a bit of width, especially with Michael Green... We were trying to pick passes out at the end and there must have been 16 or 17 players in the box, so it was difficult... wE didn’t have the cutting edge that we have been seeing. But you’re not going to win every game, are you?'"

We have a good squad , also when you see the likes of , Williams, Pilks and Wilson not on the pitch its a decent squad. So add that too closing down the opposition , hard tackling winning individual battles , you go far ! I thought the ref had a good game, was a pen, maybe should of yellow carded the Eastleigh moaners ! But the ref let some heavy tackles go , which was good too see! Barrow wanted the 3pts more on Sat and it showed!

If Richard Hill made those remarks then hr should be reported to the F.A. for bringing the game into disrepute (think that`s their terms of reference!).

Said on the Vanarama B.T. highlights show that that was the first time eastleigh hadn`t scored away since last november! so quite a brilliant effort on Saturday!
