They were a team full of egos,that was obvious and when things don't go there way they just cant hack it.I love putting teams like that in there place,made my weekend did that.
In the second half they good niggly and mouthy and it did them no good at all,so [SwearFilter] off back down south hill where you play with different rules,apparently.

thought the referee had a good game, bit too quick with the yellow cards at times but on the whole a decent game

Just been watching the National league highlights show on youtube ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pBij3UPBB7M ) interesting that in the Welling v Tranmere game there was almost identical handball to the one against FGR no sending off / no pen - just as well they didn't have the same ref we had had

I saw that before as well!

Pretty identical! just closer to the 18 yard box than the penalty spot.

Well he seemed to know more about the back-pass rule than their keeper who was booked for his ignorance.

Missed offsides happen all the time, didn't stop Barrow winning the renamed National League North last season. Lucky the ball and Jason were not heading towards the goal or the defender Reid would have been sent off for stopping a goal scoring opportunity, you could argue he did stop a goal scoring opportunity. Lines man on that side missed a lot right in front of him, usually the hands on approach from Eastleigh. Jason didn't look offside to me and but I might not have been as quick to glance across as the Eastleigh manger.

Last man? rubbish, (note to Eastleigh manager, watch the highlights) Yemi is behind Williams all the way and even plays it into Williams feet before Dixon collides with him. Definitely not the last man and blew any goal scoring chance with his touch past the keeper.

I'll hand it to him, I don't think the ref was very good either. He let the game descend into to a push and shove match, with some poor tackles from both sides being ignored, not even waving play-on to acknowledge what had just happened. Players were visibly stopping expecting the whistle, only for play to carry on, the quickest to realise he was not going to stop play regained possession.

Yeah, agree the ref wasn't the worst we've had, but he actually let too much go. Sometimes that's a good thing, but on this occasion he was carrying on after some really blatant fouls and it was getting the players wound up.
The penalty, I don't think it could've been a red - Walker didn't ever really have the ball under control, so it wasn't really a clear goalscoring opportunity. Yellow was right.
There were a surprising amount of throw-ins as well that the linesman just simply gave the wrong way.
But for Hill to spout that drivel...

As for Hills comments regarding the pen. He stated, and I quote, "I was looking right across the line " That's impossible and he's lying, because at the start of the game he was stood on the right hand side of his technical area. That is almost on the half way line. The so called off side was at least 20 yards further up the pitch. So how the hell was he looking across the line. I was stood in the Wilkie terrace directly across from the dug outs. The man is a liar and should be ashamed of what he said. But he won't be as most ( all ) ? managers are the same. Eastleigh fans, I hope you read this. You were a decent club a few years back, how a few quid changes things !

Reid did not receive a yellow card for the foul on Walker that resulted in a penalty.
He did not get any card shown.
