Didn’t go but delighted with a draw as Braintree have been picking up points and are no mugs. However as has been mentioned already BVDB got a hammering on the radio by Andy’s wooden leg. These aren’t actual quotes but near enough as I remember them.

That sounds like his work rate and attitude leaves a lot to be desired and I can’t understand for the life of me why players can be like that when they have a decent platform to get noticed and perhaps go onto better things in their careers. Does he think it’s a working holiday in the UK?

I can't understand why any manager would sign a player obviously as clueless as this guy is according to all reports! All in all, most of the signings made in the close season seem to have been very, very poor.

Yes and thats why he deserves his chance in this league mid table would be a good season.

However

Most managers could have achieved promotion with that team. We fell over the line thanks to Fylde throwing it away and a Bogle penalty.

Having a chat with the ref prior to kick off after asking if money had been exchanged when the Braintree chairman shook hands.
Quote, pointing to one of the liners " He got a tenner. I have been to Holker Street many times and it is a hostile place----especially to gingers" unquote. Said with a good sense of humour I might add. I think that might have been why he was kind to Jase.

Pleased to say the toilets in the clubhouse have improved beyond measure but the kitchen was closed to fans!!
I was sat inbetween the parents of the Braintree trialist goalie (who was on the bench) and I am assuming the parents of George Williams as the only player they knew was George. After that it was well done number... The goalies parents were impressed with the rattle and I even let him wave it when they scored.
A friendly club to visit but they need to get rid of the drum!!!!

It's a funny old world. We entered into conversation with a bloke called Dennis as we stepped out from the ground. He was wearing an Arsenal jacket and lived in Chelmsford, speaking with a London/Essex accent. He surprised us by revealing that he had actually come to watch Barrow play. His story went that back in the 60s when they were nippers, he and his brother each chose a team 'to follow' from the lower leagues. One chose Crewe Alex and Dennis chose Barrow, hence his presence on Saturday. It was only the second time he had watched Barrow play. Heart warming stuff.

If you mean the "penalty shout" on 30 secs, that was as bad a dive as I've seen in a while - if that Welling player got suspended for diving, this wasn't a lot different.
