Re: Aldershot Town match thread
Oh dear. 2nd best by a mile today. Long way for Aldershot to travel for a training match. Anyone who raves about cowps and thinks he is the midfield answer then give your head a good wobble. He was and is shocking !!!!
He wasn't the only one. How we go from a whole hearted dominant display to that today is beyond me. Guess Mr Casson may be staying on a bit longer after that display.

Re: Aldershot Town match thread
If Andy Wood thinks thinks they were the best side to come to Holker Street this season them maybe it's time for me to stop going
Two dreadful sides today - waste of time money and effort feel sorry for Casson because I bet our squad are paid more than aldershots and he's not getting good Value for money
Nice to see that group of kids signing Barrow in the second half other than that not very good

Re: Aldershot Town match thread
Massive disappointment.
Even at 1-0 down, even up until an hour gone I could only see Barrow winning it - problem is, it looked like the players thought it would be easy too. As soon as that second went in (looked a massive clanger from Dixon to me, but could be wrong), then everything just went. That's when it turned into Livesey just knocking it down the channel to see if anyone could chase it.
He's gone from scapegoat to forum fave, but Cowps gave a lot away today and usually in dangerous areas.
Aldershot were the best team that've been here, but they didn't offer a lot aside from the goals. There were no sustained spells of pressure. Beckles at the back for them though was a beast.
Haworth our best player today.
A draw would've been fair.

Re: Aldershot Town match thread
Symington to blame for both goals. Gave away a daft free kick for their second goal, when he picked up a booking. Then he failed to pick up the scorer of their third goal when he made the run. I wouldn't bother extending his contract when it's up in November.A.B. wrote:Their 2nd goal was a good, whipped ball in by Wilmer-Anderton, must've got the slightest of flicks to divert it in. 3rd goal, their right-back just waltzed through the defence un-noticed, no-one picking him up, easy finish. Poor.

Everyone got excited the other night as he had one of his better games.
Even Carlos Logan played well 4 times in 40 games.

Symington doesn't look good enough. Thought that 3 weeks ago. Ah well move on.
Also
Don't diss the John Barnes of non league football.
We've had a lot worse than both of them!

Re: Aldershot Town match thread
a bang average side came and did a job, Barrow did not have the guile to change anything. Hoof ball to the extreme and i am a half glass full man. One shot there keeper had to save from Wilson all game. Look i get it things don't go to plan but we had the inability to change our game. Grand is not up to this standard, try's hard but sorry needs dropping for good. Well Edmo back to the drawing board.
Re: Aldershot Town match thread
Can't blame Symington for the goals! Just shocking defending...by the defence!
Every team gives away free-kicks, hundreds of times in a match - just because that lead to a goal doesn't mean he's directly responsible.
He's the new Cowps/scapegoat.
Yet more questions need to be asked of our senior defenders, in my opinion.

Re: Aldershot Town match thread
Where was Elliot Newby today ?
Re: Aldershot Town match thread
Wow that was really really shit
No plan b
Grand isn't good enough for this level , I don't think he won a challenge against Brodie
Symington came on and changed the game, unfortunately the wrong way - the 3rd goal was god awful defending the second came from his needless foul
We were only a lucky penalty and a post width away from complete drubbing

Re: Aldershot Town match thread
Very very poor today, thought we were 2 nd best all round.first half we were poor but got the penalty,2 nd half only 1 team in it.why not change things earlier when it's the same old shite.I hope newby was injured and not a tactical move for him not to b on the bench.most signings have been poor.wots the point in signing Grimes, fofana and mellor if edmo thinks they're not good enough.a very frustrating afternoon.can't wait for the boot room, oops I forgot there isn't 1 when we lose
how we get there i don,t no.Barrows on the way

My question also, seemed like the perfect opportunity to give him a sustained half of football with Pilkington going off.Bingo wrote:Where was Elliot Newby today ?
Popular side since '03.
