No 14 Beckles had Cook in his pocket all day long by the way, great performance from the guy. Fair play.

Then Wilson showed more against him than cook did in 80 minuets.

More than one Al. People seem to cum just because he runs at players...he never [SwearFilter] beats them though. Just about every piece of possession by him results in a wayward pass or an easy tackle. He is dross.
Completely opposite from Tuesday when everyone (except Haworth) put in a shift. Today, I don't think anyone except perhaps Walker shone.

Biggest problem is not with the players on the field but those off it. Four players on the bench/in the stand today who in terms of experience, reputation plus wages and possible signing on fees SHOULD be in the starting X1. That they arent is something Edmo struggles to answer in a manner reminiscent of many of the shenanigans of the previous regime.Mellor and Grimes have played consistently at a higher level. Williams and Fofana were in the Conf.Prem before us. Today we had ten players on the field at various times who were part of last seasons title winning squad. That shouts in a loud voice that we haven't strengthened despite the money other fans reckon we've thrown at it.

I think that is a very valid point - Mellor's exclusion is a puzzle, 2 weeks ago he was a contender for mom and in my eyes improving steadily each week..

Edmo's maybe playing the long-game and resting his star-men for Tuesday. We're going to have to get used to the Sat/Tues fixtures and quick. We hardly had a midweek fixture last season so let's put the Aldershot game down to tired-legs. First away win at Macc...0-2

.

The squad is supposedly training full time. Tiredness is an awful excuse to use at this stage of the season.

That's the one I was on about earlier when I couldn't remember his name, won everything and seemed to be all over the place. He had Cookie sized up from the first ball in to him.

On Tuesday I thought it was hard to pick a MOTM as it could've been virtually anyone on the pitch, yesterday I couldn't pick one because they were all as bad as each other.....not helped by some strange substitutions and some of the players who were supposed to have been brought here to move us on not even on the bench or getting games.
Even this morning I'm still struggling to fathom the reason out or taking Cookie off and replacing him with a like-for-like striker (who hasn't played since last season) when chasing a game!! surely in this situation you take a defensive midfielder off (who was having a bad game anyway) or even a defender.....I'd rather go down 1-4 and attacking than just pass the time & still lose 1-3

We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.
