To all the Van Den Broek haters what use was Haworth? Cannot cross, pass, beat a man and will not Track back or defend, absolute waste of a shirt the sooner has is dropped for Newby the better

He had a good game at Macc - deserved to keep his place based on that. Whether he keeps it for Alty is another debate.

An issue about the subs and not bringing on Wilson for a midfielder is that we can't really play 3 out and out strikers upfront as we'd only have 3 in midfield and would be completely over-run. If you had 2 players a bit behind Cook it may work but this isn't really Walker or Wilson's preferred position.
Regarding Haworth I wasn't at Macc but whilst he does get forward and has a shot he shoots from so far out or wide angles its not surprising he hasn't scored any. He may have about 7 shots per game and very few if any are near the target. His decison making is terrible as he gets into a good position and shoots when there are other players in better positions (Cook has shouted at him numerous times about this) or tries to walk it through the opposition defence and loses it.
Its blindingly obvious that the midfield aren't getting forward/aren't good enough/wrongly balanced or selected and we're too reliant on Cook & Walker, what happens if Cook gets injured/suspended? In league games the only goals from midfield have been scored by the creative type of players - Pilks (injured) and Newby who ridiculously can't even get on the bench.

Official Highlights

Thought the officials were terrible at getting the basics right, BBC RC comments regarding the refs performance at FGR seemed to becoming true. Lineswomen missed a few obvious offsides and flagged offside when a yard or more on, you could see daylight between the players so don't know what she was thinking. 2nd game in row we've had a dodgy liner that doesn't know the rules. Disappointed at the sexist remarks being thrown at her. The Kiddy No17 was a dirty player, kicked out a few times off the ball, after play had moved on with the officials attention elsewhere, could easily had 3 yellows for some of his antics had he been seen. Ashton did very well not to react to him in the 1st half when he was kicked.

Shocking 1st half display without a single effort on target. In the midfield Lacey and particularly Cowps were awful.

Strong 2nd half with a good defensive play keeping Kiddy away from the Barrow goal, but again their keeper again not really tested from open play. Wasn't until ARH and Wilson came on that we actually started to play. If the penalties had been scored and Livesey's header had not been disallowed we would have run out comfortable winners in the end. Not a convincing display at all but didn't loose, which would have been embarrassing. Understand the booing, disappointed that Walker was again sacrificed.

Like others have said where was Symington? Ashton MOTM was also at fault for giving their goal scorer far too much space to shoot, he practically stepped out of the way. Dixon could have done better. Many errors giving them their chance. Ashton did have a good game and deserved the award as I don't think anyone else did enough.

Been away so only just seen the highlights now and not read through all the comments above, but there doesn't seem to be much made of Cook's finish - what a strike that is! I think he's only contracted for this season right? There'll be teams looking at him in January.

Kidderminster have got draws out of Tranmere, Grimsby and Gateshead this season, so on paper it's not a dreadful result. And Haworth may have had a poor game, that I don't know, but in most of the games I've seen this season, he's the only one who will run at a defender and he's great at getting to the byline. I'd like to see one of those "chances created" stats, because I can think of two or three instances this season where he's put it on a plate for someone and they haven't finished it. Without him, there'd be almost zero creativity whatsoever.

And Dixon should've stopped that goal - on here people seem to love him, overhearing people at the ground there's a lot think he's useless, and I'm somewhere in the middle. Good shotstopper usually, but a bit too erratic at times. The England C training team seems to me like it's more a squad of players that the manager hasn't really seen much of so wants a closer look, more so than the 22/23 best players in the league.

Have to agree that VdB is a terrible footballer - not sure of the standard of the Romanian top flight (he played in a relegated side last season as far as I can tell), but any type of physical challenge and he shys away from it.

Have many people on here actually seen Carroll play?

Have to agree that VdB is a terrible footballer - not sure of the standard of the Romanian top flight (he played in a relegated side last season as far as I can tell), but any type of physical challenge and he shys away from it.

Yeah he was playing in the Dutch Eerste Divisie for Den Bosch last season as wel which is a very good standard. Also played at international level last year.

Yet another Carlisle connection though. Paul Simpson (former Carlisle manager) managed over him at Shrewsbury. Edmo rang him and asked him what he was like.

Cookie's goal was fantastic, I was right behind that and it really does show how much he has improved over the years - just not at taking pens though.

He got that ball and I looked around to see who was there waiting for a pass......no need, it was in the back of the net by then. Cracking goal.

you could push the fullbacks up but i think they don`t go forward too much because livesey and grand are so slow!

Goal scoring is a problem but look at our options,grand/livesey should pitch in with a few but we seem to waste set pieces,the midfield,lacey,harvey,cowps,mellor ,forfana,none of their records would suggest they are going to add much to our goal tally,forwards pilks gets a few but he only plays half a season!howarth isn`t prolific,grimes record was good over 2 seasons ago but abysmall over the last 2!,jase doesn`t get into the box enough but to be fair most balls are lofted into the air instead of trying to get wide and whip the balls in,if wilson stays fit l`m sure he`ll start helping cookey (whose having to take all the pressure of being our main man).

when edmo recruits players surely he must look at their goal scoring records but looking at some of his signings i don`t know what criteria he`s used!

What match were you watching, exactly?

Dixon should have been the length of the pitch away from the ball and was left in an atrocious situation by the rest of the team losing the ball when they had no right to, then casually watching Kidderminster stroll up the pitch with it.

The fact he didn't manage to stop it was absolutely no reflection on him. He was left 1 on 1 against a Kidderminster player with a decent angle and all the time in the world

I agree, bad goalkeeping that.......although it also stemmed from bad defending
