Disappointing news for Elliott Newby. I don't get the logic of this at all.

I'm not as sure as some people about throwing Newby in from the start yet but he certainly deserves more game time from the bench than he's been getting of late. If we bring another youngster in on loan instead of playing him then it has to be a kick in the teeth for him and pretty much amounts to a vote of no confidence in him from Edmo.

Those Barrow lads were clearly signed just to say we sign locals none of them will be given a proper chance.

We will probably never know if they are good enough.

That's how I see it.

I'd prefer to see him getting 15-20 minutes when the game allows, throwing him on for 2 minutes here & there can't be doing him any good at all.
Bringing in another young lad on loan after Elliot's been dragged all over the country to get them two minutes is very shoddy.
