Darren is the right man for us if we want to tread water as a mediocre National League club going nowhere. This will probably continue for as long as we find ways of scraping just enough points from other mediocre clubs. Perhaps PC is happy to carry on as we are, and keep the club in a holding pattern for a couple of years until the planned upgrades to the club's infrastructure are in place? However, unless I'm very much mistaken, a fundamental component of Mr.C's plans was that we, the Furness public are energised by our football team, and buy into his vision. This clearly isn't happening at the moment. In order to progress, and energise the public, we need sharper football brains at the helm than we currently have. I'm sorry if this sounds harsh, but I think most of us know it's true. I don't know if the right man is even out there at this time, but someone with modern ideas, good connections, tactical acumen and solid judgement of player potential would surely be a breath of fresh air at Holker Street right now.....and get the fans excited again. Why wait a year, or two years? Why delay the inevitable?

£17 you can get a ticket for Hamburg make a weekend of it.
I appreciate Barrow is a back water interms of players coming here but we have had some good times under Ray Wilkie and Vic Halom and the the two DS
I believe Darren has a book coming out 10 tips on how to depress football supporters.

To be fair it's not just Edmo, when was the last time we had a season of playing fast attacking football with the ball on the deck rather than just lumping it up to a striker?

The Daz'n'Dave era wasn't so bad was it...? Perhaps the very fact that I'm not sure says a lot! Dave Bayliss on his own was pretty grim though. Kenny Lowe's team then.

I think it's time for edmo to go, he's a nice bloke but being nice just isn't enough, he's tactically inept, sorry edmo thanks for everything you have done but this can't continue
Just my opinion

His cup record is poor he hasn't won a cup or trophy game yet thats 2 FAT games 2 FAC games and i know not very important 2 Lancashire cup games.

We haven't even scored a goal in the 2 FAC and FAT games all against the same or lower standard opposition.

Maybe hes not bothered about the cups?

Jeez. Imagine 10 more years. Don't think we'd have any supporters left.Feeling pretty flat after watching that today.

Edmo should go now but can't see it happening.

We need to start with an ambitious and capable manager, someone we might consider (and other would maybe) beyond our level. There is no point in putting our confidence, and PC's money, in a nice bloke who doesn't have the ability or contacts to draw in the players we need to progress. To do less than that is admitting that we do not intend to play with the big boys and instead we are content with relying on the odd season where we flirt with play-offs until the last few weeks.
As we are, we will go down this season or the next. Edmo may be the nicest guy in the world but he isn't the man we need. Get a name as a manager and the players will follow.
