Paul Casson has done a complete "u" turn in just over 2 weeks,he`s gone from "give squad /manager time to gel etc,tough league,still learning all the usual cliches!

To giving edmo a month!,ok the man`s put some money in but it as though he`s on some kind of deluded ego trip,endless soundbites,and seems to contradict himself after every interview!

Don`t get me wrong i`m not happy with some performances but hey we are not bottom so why is it now a "months trial"?,also didn`t casson have edmo over to america to discuss signings etc!

If Paul Casson wants better performances he should be looking at the players because i can take some not being good enough but to have no fight etc,they are letting,him,edmo,the fans and the club down!

While he`s putting unbearable pressure on edmo,he should take a look at what he`s done (or hasn`t)

So yes Paul edmo hasn`t quite delivered but then neither have you but to be fair to him you gave him 2years to get promotion (did it in one!)

Paul less of the sound bites etc.,leave all that to the premier league and take a step back and look back on what you said a few weeks ago!

Feel sorry for Edmo.This is a cut throat business and I think his days are numbered.However,Edmo made the signings (most are poor) and he seems to fall a bit short tactically in this league.Coupled with bizarre substitutions and our style of play the end will come sooner rather than later.
This will not stop the usual Barrow masses taking Wrexham over and backing the team to the hilt.PLAYERS,down to you.

Irrespective what you think of Edmo I am not a fan he does have a nice haircut though, he has been hung out to dry.

He has been told whats been expected off him and it should have been kept private.

I can't see a way back for Edmo from this now sadly. But the more I think about it the more I feel sorry for him and the more annoyed I become at how PC has handled it. Right man to take us forward or not, Edmo has always acted with utmost integrity while Barrow manager and he deserves more respect than he's been given by the way this whole episode has been handled, much more.

I can't see it but I really do hope he manages to stick two fingers up at the doubters (myself included) and we have an excellent month both performance and results wise.

personally i think Casson has every right to say what he wants in the press. ive worked in recruitment (different i know) but every day the sales figures for everyone were sent round to all staff and if you were down near the bottom and werent performing then everyone knew your job was on the line.. i know its not told to everyone in the world but people involved in that business know. if hes going to say something to edmo alone then fair enough but he has as much right to say it publically and make sure edmo knows that he means business.

i personally think their is a lot more going on with player/manager relationships (not intimate) than what we think

Well I have to say my respect for Mr Casson has diminished considerably.
As I understand it he's saying you've a month to save your job; a few days ago he was saying you'll be here in May and beyond.
It's his club, he can do what he wants, but why oh why go public about it? It puts everyone under massive pressure. It maybe that Edmo isn't up to it in various ways, but really disrespectful to him to plaster it about through the EM.
It makes me feel that Mr Casson might be on some sort of ego trip.
What happened to the 5 year plan to get back in the league? There's illogical panic half way through the second season when we are are only 5 points away from the play off places.
My message to Mr Casson is be a man of your word, and stick with Edmo until, at least, the end of the season.

Two days ago, comments were almost unanimous saying Edmo must go. There was even a thread started up directed at Paul Casson which pleaded with him to sack him, which got three pages of support.

And now the chairman says he'll give him a month (which is a month longer than most on here would have given him) and suddenly that's unfair?

Pretty sure Casson will have told Edmo that he's got a month to save his job before he mentioned it to the press - that won't have been the first he'd heard of it. This way, it might spur a few players into action, while it's also showing to the fans that Casson's not going to just sit back and let things carry on as they have been of late.

His only real mistake, in my opinion, was saying that Edmo will be manager come May. He probably did think that a few weeks ago, but the problem in saying it is that everyone thinks they can play it safe for 7 months as there's nothing much to fight for.
