Casson has laid down certain criteria to Edmo and most of it hasnt been met. After several warnings and requests for improvment nothings happened.

Of the last 20 teams promoted to the National League only 2 have finished in the bottom four in their first season up.

More common (5 teams) is for a team to finish mid-table in their first season and then finish in the bottom four in their second - which could easily be our current trajectory.

Steve Herbert would have won the league last year with that budget. Even if half the budget was put a side for IRN BRU

We play rubbish boring football even then we are inconsistent usually we are rubbish sometimes we are awful and now and again we have a good game. This is and will continue to drive fans away.

Tactics, substitutions, team selections seem equally as inconsistent to the extent of sometimes being clueless.

It seems some senior players hold sway over matters and not the manager.

Lets not forget he has a good budget and he brought all these players in. It all falls on his shoulders.

Could another more experienced manager do better? I suspect so BUT whatever happens its going to need a complete team rebuild or at least a manager the players respect and will work for.

Haven't applied for any football jobs since my application to the F.A for the England role was edged out by Capello.

I think it's all a bit distasteful really and frankly this whole season, right from the summer on hasn't reflected well on the club as a whole. You are clearly reading these threads Paul so please take that on board and face facts regarding off the field also.

Darren Edmondson manages like he played. Honest, committed, a team player, sometimes a bit physical and one dimensional. You can see he played for Mick Wadsworth in the way he approaches the whole thing. I hope he turns it around- tell you what, if he doesn't adopt a ruthless approach with underperforming players now he never will.

A fan from elsewhere looking in would see this as a giddy, slightly tinpot Fleetwood situation where we've all got our collective head up our arse over what sugar daddy wants- we would too. However, they weren't at Brackley, Bromley and Halifax. And before folk start about not supporting the team properly in bad times, the same people cheered and clapped them off and Grimsby, Cheltenham and Forest Green and for that matter Luton and even Mansfield away in past seasons. You can't kid the Barrow support- they will bleed for the club unless they feel people are either playing stupidly (tactics) or lazily (individual players- especially senior ones), and woe betide you if that's the case.

The damage has been done now, in my opinion, through a lot of the horrible comments on this site (we know PC reads) by certain individuals who are now ominously quiet while the majority seem to be wringing their hands in sympathy.
