Grimes as well yea! He has been good in waves! I think they all can ( Mo, VDB , Mellor) do it at this level but they are just not arsed , which is frustrating too watch.

You will have to ask the manager on that one, not me.barrowaberdeen wrote:Well it wasnt particularly at neil ashton but the senior players in general and i include mellor etc in that! The'pop' is for trotting out the usual platitudes in the paper. Fully behind him are they?GTBLUE wrote: With respect , Ashton is a full back. His job is to stop opponents attacking threats, and not to try and be someone he's not. He' s done very well for a long time at full back for better teams than us. He is one of our better players and to have a pop at him is a really cheap shot. Look at our so called big signings !!
Edmo
Why is he getting all this abuse, he's a superb manager, if Edmo goes who does everyone else want in? And how long will it be before he becomes a scapegoat.

34 pages of everyone jumping on my 'edmo out' bandwagon

Edmo out because he has reached his potential and brought the majority of poor quality players in and Barrow are a laughing stock.
Though he does have a nice haircut.

Every chairman is thinking who he would like next in the hot seat, realistically and not! Casson won't be any different . Be interesting too see who he likes !
Re: The Darren Edmondson Thread
Just read the interview in the em with Neil Ashton. Good interview, not only one of our better players so far but talks sense too.
everyone is entitled to their opinion, deal with it

Re: The Darren Edmondson Thread
Have changed my view about the current Edmo thing.
It's all to do with what Mr Casson thinks. Let him do what he wants with Darren, and we shouldn't complain.
Probably stating the absolute obvious but....
Sadly we aren't rich, or even comfortable.
Without Mr Casson we'd probably be down the pan.
He is Barrovian and I believe he has the best interests of the club at heart.
Whether that is running in tandem with a bit of an ego trip is irrelevant.
Whether he is right about Edmo's capabilities as a shopper, tactician or motivator is irrelevant.
If he loses interest in the club, the club would probably cease to exist in any meaningful way.
Let him meddle with management, let him play centre forward if he wants, but please let him keep spending his money.
With a fair wind we may get back into The Football League before that long and we should all rejoice if that happens and know who to thank.

Really? Like when we spent decent money on wages for the likes of Chadwick and Goodfellow? Yeah, halcyon days.omar36 wrote:Bring back bayles n shez.far more contacts at league clubs ! And i think will do a good job with a decent budget behind them.
