If it`s decided to get rid of edmo,i would look (as a temporary measure)say grand/ashton in charge,both are leaders and both hard players who would get the players respect!

1. To be higher in the league than the club’s current position – not meaning that Barrow must win the next six games. - NO

2. To raise the level of consistency of performances in matches. NO - Weve been consistantly bad in our last 3 games.

3. To show a high level of tactical awareness to meet different needs and to deal with different opposition, including the alterations needed during games – to be reactive to the needs of a game. - NO

4. To become a more potent force in front of goal (including different attacking aspects). NO - Two goals in two games 7 Conceded

5. To show that we’ve got a squad that believes in the manager, believes in each other and believes in what the club are aiming to do, and that they are prepared to give their all for the club. - I still think this point isnt measureable. Does each player do a questionairre after each game or something?

Well there has been [SwearFilter] all cohesion in evidence over the last few months so I would definitely question whether or not those two 'leaders' could hold the respect, loyalty and commitment of the team (I can't believe I called them a team then!).
I would hope that a new manager would fairly quickly install a new captain, or at least demand a quantum shift in the attitude from the current incumbent. Frankly I would have been delighted to hear of Grand grabbing any one of the under-performing players by the throat and showing some fight and determination. With only a couple of exceptions the public face of the team and management just looks like they are in a daze.

I imagine in the event of Edmo getting chucked the next in line will be announced fairly quickly afterwards. Cassons give himself this time to find someone.

I would love to know what they were smoking when they came up with these, what a farce, I imagine any potential new manager reading those targets and keeping an eye on developments would think what the f**k? and might have second thoughts.....

By putting Edmo on a months trial in such a very public fashion, and publishing those ridiculous targets to the press, it has backfired in spectacular fashion, you have got to ask who's advising PC? it has just created a farcical situation and created unecessary and artificial pressure and uncertainty so everyone is in a state of limbo, no wonder there has been no improvement in performances.

If the original intention in going public was to have transparency, and he was serious about giving Edmo a chance to turn it around and hopefully rally the players around the cause, then it was ill thought out at best. It's just de-stabilised things even more, and created an artifical pressure around all involved and it will just drag on until the months out - it's car crash viewng.

who-ever sanctioned those targets being released to the press should be for the chop along with Edmo

Saying that receiving a red card kills the contest is just stupidity. Does that mean everytime we have a player sent off then weve just lost the game?

Surely its the way we set out to play that has more of an effect on the match as a contest?



“We had chances and didn’t take them in the first half before they got their second, we could have been in a better position at half-time,” he said.

“But we didn’t take the chances we did well to create and that is how football works at the end of the day.”

“Conceding from a corner when you are the ones attacking should not happen, but it has done once again for my lads. I’m going to have to have another word with some of them to cut out these errors in their games.”
