I think the exact opposite. I feel like he has treated this whole thing in the exact same way he would his other business interests. Only thing is running a football club is a lot different.

didn't put that very well. I meant he operates in the football world in relation to the post about how he treats the manager not how he operates generally. Yes many other aspects of running the club he gets wrong since he has no football background but for a poster to suggest that normal employment conditions apply to a football manager is simply incorrect. And....I'm not talking employment tribunals etc just the psyche of hiring and firing managers generally.

Blackburn manager sacked last night without any prior warning (and not the first this season). Not taking any sides but if that was how it was done we wouldn't have all this hoo-hah now.

To be fair to Grimes i certainly haven't seen enough to make a judgement (i don't go to as many games as most)a new manager may well give him a chance and may prove himself but her certainly cant get a look in.

why would you say he is our best finisher in a team that cant score goals and then not play him....i'm struggling for logic there.

This sort of thing is often said.

It shouldn't be the case.

Pretty much on the money that.

Grimes has the potential to be great. Haworth would be better in a better team. Symington has stuck in after a dodgy start and done well. Lacey is borderline in terms of talent but can't fault his effort. ARH under used. Newby great potential along with Dixon. Williams G yep. I've got a soft spot for Cowps cause, well, he's a [SwearFilter] Cowps! Cook, no brainer.

Would add Khan if he's available to sign. Same with NWA.

I don't really fault the players over the last three games as I don't think they've lacked effort, just organisation and in some cases skill.

*edit Cook no brainer wasn't intended as an insult.

I'm shocked that anyone would even consider letting Pilkington go. He's a class act, admittedly he has his injury problems but nowhere near on the scale of Wilson. We miss him massively when he doesn't play and he's easily one of the better players at this level.

Massively agree with that Kieran, people can go on about his injuries but we look a far better side when he is in it
It's time Wilson was released

When he's fully fit and on his game he is class. I am guessing he plays some matches whilst carrying an injury or a knock or whatever which leads to some poor performances and more injuries. Can't blame him fully for that (and I might be a million miles away anyway) because he's still being picked but he is very close to being tarred with the sicknote brush.

Agree he is a class player. However play 1 miss 6 isent any good to anyone
Pilks & Wilson out.....
Don't get me on the others.... I would only keep about 4 of them !!!!!

For all those who think we should keep Grimes then make an appointment at Specsavers. :D

Pilks made 25 appearances last season, and that was with a lengthy spell out of a couple of months or so due to one injury. Hardly play 1 miss 6. Even if he only ever plays 25 games a season he's worth keeping as for those 25 games we are a much better team for having him available.

Kieran, 50% + of games out..really that's O.K?

IN no profession would that be acceptable long term, talented though he undoubtedly is.

Would I try and punt him? No. Would I give him another contract? Not unless there's an improvement with injuries.
