Haworth dictated play today, and the haters probably still think he was crap. Khan is a great acquisition, and needs to be signed up to a longer deal at the earliest opportunity.
O'Reilly looked pretty solid as well at left back, so we haven't done too bad in the youth loan market under Edmo. Can we sign a squad-ful?
Walker was crap up until about the hour mark and then decided he could be bothered after all as there was an opportunity to bag some goals against one of the worst sides we've faced in some time.

Might be one of the worst sides we`ve faced in some time, but normally we would not have got a result like this! Good team effort. Clean sheet. Both wingers scored. Striker other then Cookie scored. Well done lads. Khan was class. easily second motm for second game in a row. Extension please?
Seasons to be cheerful.Part 16 3/4

I'll also agree with this. You always have to give credit where it is due and he had a good 50% of a game today. Khan was awesome and needs retaining in some way.glasgow_blue wrote:Agree, thought he put the effort today. So frustrating to watch a lot of the time. Re: Barrow v Torquay match thread
What a massive relief after the recent free-fall! It seemed like it was one of those days where it was just meant to be, especially after seeing Torquay break clean through at 1-0 down and blaze a sitter over the bar. Maybe we should be thankful their messianic leading goal-scorer was left out for being a very naughty boy. The first goal by Khan was spectacularly good. There is no way I would make a judgement on O’Reilly, based on one reasonably untroubled performance. However, despite not knowing his team-mates he came along and did a job today which even Sybil couldn’t complain about. With this timely boost to morale let’s hope the Bluebirds can travel over to Dover and play with renewed steel and determination in what is bound to be a tough test.

Re: Barrow v Torquay match thread
Yes Torquay weren't one of the best teams but Barrow played really well in attack they couldn't handle howarth and khan we could have had seven edmo came over and clapped the fans,I thought is that the last time he'll do it only Paul casson knows the answer to that one!
Anyway nice to see us win and everyone happy! Well done lads!

You honestly think he couldn't be bothered ? Like really ?Moribund wrote: Walker was crap up until about the hour mark and then decided he could be bothered after all as there was an opportunity to bag some goals against one of the worst sides we've faced in some time.
You post some utter shit
Re: Barrow v Torquay match thread
Maybe Walkers has postmatic stress after his recent near miss in the car
Re: Barrow v Torquay match thread
We played well today. Although I thought we were second best in the first half even at 2-0 up. Second half there was only 1 team in it.
Khan was outstanding and his 2 goals were brilliant.
Well done to the Torquay fans they were a jolly bunch even at 4-0 down, made me laugh when we went 4-0 up and they were chanting "We want 5"
Wonder what Casson writes in his letter to Edmo after today.

Excellent result though for twenty minutes after our first goal thought we were awful couldn't retain or control ball and Torquay passed it better than us during that period and we were fortunate they missed a sitter.Haworth for me played very well and khans goals were class.Shsme Mr Casson missed match but no doubt will receive comprehensive report.Bit of breathing space for edmo and conditions awful for players.Credit to the Torquay supporters singing in the rain and all of us turning out on such a day.Now to Dovet come on bluebirds.

Re: Barrow v Torquay match thread
Just desserts today.
Very difficult for any team to play in the conditions.
Torquay were a poor side, and we simply put them away accordingly.
Ironically we played better recently against a number of sides where we ended up with a thrashing (eg Wrexham, Guiseley).
2 or 3 new players in January and we can do ok in this league..
