If securing a play-off place is not possible Casson would be happy with Barrow finishing in an upper-mid-table position – something like ‘seventh, eight or ninth’ – with a view to them having a better crack at promotion honours next season.
I'm happy enough with that ambition. Let's enjoy the rest of the season with some good football and then push on next year.

Entertain me, don't get relegated, and put a decent squad together... that'll do me.
