Official site state that Paul Cox has been 'hired', I would have thought 'employed' would be the correct terminology.

If we're going to be pedantic (which you seem to be) then the two words are exactly synonymous: "To Hire" can be directly defined as "To employ someone for wages". They literally mean the same thing in this context.

On paper an excellent appointment. Our existing players have a few weeks to show what they've got (and I have a feeling that in a lot of cases its way more than we've seen so far) before we see a much needed freshening up of things in the new year. If nothing else its already added a bit more excitement for the festive period!
Welcome and good luck Paul. Get the players fired up and proud to wear the shirt and you'll be half way there (oh and if you know what a midfielder is and how to use him that will be a bonus!)
