Heard Mo played well and good to see VDB score.
New manager new players.

Don't know what that means ticcy tacky but I know that many players that looked "apparently" awful under Edmo will be be different under a decent mangertictactoe wrote:Wasn't going to be anything else boylie really was it

Good win today. Have to say the guy commentating must have actually commentated on the game for 15 out of the 90 mins, the rest of the time he waffled shite.

Not good enough. Cox out.
Steve Herbert supports the nob theory - Saturday 4th February 2012.
If this bus crashed and everybody on it died, Barrow football would end - Daz Boyle, Boston away, August 9th 2014.

Cheers Suttonfan.Suttonfan wrote: I thought we were good value for at least a draw and should have had a pen just before your goal. That said you should have had a free kick in the build up to the corner when the shove on our lad went unpunished. 2 wrongs dont make a right but the result says a win for Barrow.
I don't know about the penalty - it was difficult to tell from the far end of the ground - but it was certainly a confident appeal.
The goal apart, I don't think that there was much in it, and your players certainly did you proud, especially bearing in mind your recent form; take that into league games and you'll have no problems.
Good luck for the rest of the season.

To be fair I think VDB has been improving and today should have been his 3rd goal of the season - I couldn't go today listened to some of it but that commentator is dreadful it's not what he says ( though he does waffle on and misses some of the action ) it's the false helium voice that drives me mad - just speak normally
Re: Sutton Coldfield v Barrow Match thread
For me Sutton C deserved to get a draw out of the game. They competed really well and won many of the 50-50 balls particularly in the first 60 mins or so. I felt we were resilient. Lets face it it is always going to be difficult playing an away cup game to a team two leagues or so below you at whatever level you are playing at and so it proved to be the case today. I thought our goal was really good with Van der Broek finishing really well after being sent through by, I think, A-H. Agree with others about Mo I thought he did OK. However, both our full backs struggled at times often making poor decisions at crucial times. Better teams would have punished us. Dixon was OK but really must work on his kicking while Jason appeared to be somewhat off the pace (perhaps trying too hard?). Nevertheless we got there....just
If Sutton can carry that form into their league games they will be OK - as the "Suttonman" on this forum suggested.
PC has a lot to ponder over. At the end of the game, with the players changing he walked over to the far side of the pitch deep in thought and then returned to the dugout where I presume his number 2 was waiting for him & they sat down for what I guess was the beginning of a deep discussion about the game and the team. I decided to leave them there as I was beginning to feel the cold winds of Sutton Coldfield bearing down on me!
Methinks there will be a number of comings and goings this January.

Two wins back to back
PC will be waying up the players I bet he has earmarked some to be shipped out already
Edmo seemed a nice fella and defiantly had a better haircut than PC but he was struggling.
I realise some of our supporters were in denial but he reached his limit.
The players cost him his job and I think there will be a big clear out in the New Year and I can see us getting somewhere near the play offs.
Pity the change never happened sooner
As for Mr Casson the jury is still out .

Re: Sutton Coldfield v Barrow Match thread
glad BVDB scored - his disallowed goals against Torquay (home) and Dover (away) both should have stood.
he's a much improved player lately and seams better playing through the middle

He owns the club so did Stephen Vaughan
It does matter thankfully not a moveable asset but time will tell.

Forrest Green were knocked out yesterday and Grimsby have to travel to Solihull Moors after Drawing. Home tie in the next round would do nicely.
Re: Sutton Coldfield v Barrow Match thread
Long post-match interview with Paul Cox on Radio C. Interesting comment that "70% of the team weren't playing well" but they stuck to game plan:
