I had Naively built this up to be all sorts of things in my mind and it's another feasibility study! Aka, work isn't starting on anything for at least another year!

All sounds sensible to me. No point in rushing into a fancy new and expensive ground if we are still in the conference and if we get a sniff of promotion we can make Holker St league standard within 12 months. Work on the essentials and not shit too much money away that would be better spent on the team.

if it`s a feasibility study (i can only go by whats on here) then we have been "conned"!

5 year plan, already met with manchester architects, down to 3 designs, met with us on pitch(would narrow this group down)etc.etc.

If what your saying is right the whole scenario is a joke and to mislead the fans (at the forum)and on here is unforgiveable and we deserve an explanation mr casson! :x

The feasibility study will take 6 to 8 weeks to complete. The architect was at the game on Saturday. Work to start at the earliest after 18 months but with an upper time of five years.

I wouldn't have called it an announcement, more an update on various topics, including :-

1. More details of the backroom staff changes.
2. News of the young Everton loan signing (who's a very talented player according to Holty).
3. Anouncement of next years shirts hopefully ready at the end of this season/shortly after,(which would be a record for us).
4. Update on the ground developments. Paul Casson called it a feasibility study, but reading between the lines, it seemed to me more about the Architects getting started/looking into some more detailed designs.

I praise Mr Casson for coming on local radio for giving us updates & honest answers/opinions when he can.
How many other football chairmen/owners would do this ??

Re- "feasibility study". I don't think this is the same situation as 2011/12. The architect has been on board for months. See article from last September- Granted this could be in the bin and I'm making some assumptions, but it's the most we've ever had.

http://www.nwemail.co.uk/Casson-lays-ou ... 2f5a771-ds

This feasibility study will help him determine the scale of re-development of HS , If it comes back and tells him there are going to be a lot of obstacles on the horizon to overcome then he'll start to scale it back all the way to a minimum to make it "fit for purpose" should we progress on the pitch. I wonder if there is a Plan B.
"To achieve anything and to get to the Football League, we have to expect to win every game. I've got to get everyone believing that we can, and I will work hard to embed that mentality into the players, the town, the board and whoever else” Ian Evatt.

The guy is spending a fortune and I'm thankful for that - I don't think he has his money's worth out of some of the players and he has acknowledged he's made mistakes but if he can get the commercial side better ( even that won't make the club sustainable ) and can find uses for the ground 7 days a week 365 days a year to generate income this can help make the club sustainable

I don't have a problem with us in this league or below - I don't go to the ground to have a shit I'll do that at home or in asda - but don't make promises of a new stand every season and football league in 5 years if tbey are empty promises - it turns people off in the long run - I appreciate he's spending lots of money and I'm thankful

The iron law of any feasibility study is that it must be presented by Tony Keen via the medium of powerpoint

Either Russell Dodd or John Mackay must lose their rag with the stubborn fanbase in an amusingly autocratic manner

Then Leitchy will start an argument and Stu will amble off for a pint at the bar

None of these criteria have been met so it cannot be a feasibility study.

Therefore there is no announcement.
