That Goal!

Not having a laugh at all. From where I stood - that goal looked class! I reckon I've seen more games than you have - taking our ages into account - so I think I'm entitled to my opinion. I'm sure you have your own too. Haven't seen the highlights...but from where I stood...that goal was special.

To be honest I think it'd be a pretty close run thing as to who has seen more games, but that's neither here nor there. If we assume you've seen more than me then that strengthens my point if anything as I've got less to choose from but can still easily think of several better.

All very subjective though, what I see as a better goal you may not. I agree Williams' goal was a good one, I'm not disputing that. I just don't see it as anywhere near one of the best ever.

Other than your usual thunderbolts/long range shots it's right up there for me. Fair cheered me up to see a moment like that at HS, especially recently. This lad's a cracking player and he'll get better too. In fact the fightback lifted the heart, Barrow being like..well..Barrow.

I agree. I've only seen Williams once at Woking but he does everything in the right way. Where many of the lazy players didn't do their defensive work he dropped off when Barrow were defending and did a great stint. He has control, kicks a ball very well and has intelligence. Definitely a prospect for the future.

Cook / Walker scored an scored an absolute belter some season's ago now in a league game at Holker street, from 40 or so yards, back to goal, turned and saw the keeper off his line and lobbed it over him. Brilliant stuff.

walker`s 2 goals against mansfield,kenny lowes goals against yeovil/colne f.a. trophy,wayne bullymore`s free kicks,anthony`s/tarrants against nuneaton,i even remember billy quinn beating 6 players to score against bradford in the dark days!,billy mcadams goal against southampton.

surely the greatest goal ever tony fields against brentford!(because of what it meant)

Are you talking about Eastleigh in the FA Cup, when Cook and Walker both scored quality goals? Walkers being from about the half way line in the last minute.

No I remember the Walker one in the rain, he jumped on the wall in the celebration. Think HB has the one. Cook versus Forest Green. It'll be out there somewhere.
