I reckon everyone at the club has forgotten about it whilst pretending to be busy with other things.

Why do we seem to be the only club in the whole of football that has to squeeze a quick and awkward awards ceremony into the crossbar right after a game.

Every other club seems to be able to arrange proper awards nights, a bit of a ceremony, players dress up, some food and entertainment, make something of it etc. Even when I played for walney under 16s we had proper awards nights for [SwearFilter] sake.

It aint going to happen. You can't have a segregated awards night.

I think she means keeping the players away from the fans because they have the players lounge you don't see them in the Bar anymore only a quick 1min if they are getting MOM a former member of this forum.

I'm not fussed aslong as the younger fans can interact with them.

Agree with Ste re the awards - too early / hardly any notice to fans / not prompted poor really - wasted opportunity

Could even be a bit of a money spinner in itself, if you did it as a ticketed event, maybe free entry for season ticket holders and a couple of quid for everyone else, write it into players contracts they have to stay for it or whatever, put on some food and entertainment, auction off kit etc...

Maybe even look at combining it with the end of season dinners the trust do?

Can not argue with that, Hope any ground redevelopment includes a proper function suite, that can be divided into different sizes to maximize its potential & big enough for events organized properly, the options are endless as Furness lacks this type of building.

Just a shame we didn't have some of our current crop earlier in the season as there would of been a few vying for the accolade. Still a tough choice between Danny Livesey and Cookie though.
Hope the awards stage is a little lighter to manoeuvre this year!!!

I won't bother going. This club just continues to disappoint it seems to be one thing after another. The players will be in the tracksuits and will be gone by half five. Just look at how the rugby do it, ticket event at the nines. I'm not too fussed about interacting with the players( especially this lot) but it would have been a good chance to have an end of season drink with friends and give some money to the club. "Do you think we need the money?"
