Two fans make poor choices and receive bans for home fixtures
It is always great to see the away support generated by our fans when travelling up and down the country. Not everything, however, runs as smoothly as we would like and some improvements in attitude, behaviour and self-policing need to be seen in the immediate future. The club stands for traditional family values and hopes to see them reflected in the good natured behaviour of anyone representing the club. There is certainly no place for the outrageous behaviours of certain football clubs in the past. Reputations, particularly poor ones, are very difficult to get rid of.
All fans have the right to enjoy the game and each of us must be responsible for our own actions. Stewards and officials are there to ensure the safety and welfare of all fans attending the match and should not be preoccupied by attending to the unacceptable actions of the minority of fans. Have a drink, if you choose; have a laugh; support your team and enjoy the company of your mates. There is no mention here of aggression, confrontation, bringing banned objects into the ground, or being out of control. We can all help by looking out for one another if these expectations are in danger of being breeched.
Two fans will, this week be regretting their personal choices at Chester recently when their behaviour led them to being removed from the match and reported to summons by the police. They have now been notified that, as a result of their actions, where they briefly entered the field of play, they are now not welcome at the remaining home games this season. They will miss the games against Braintree and Wrexham as well as the Family Day on April 9th which includes the end of season awards, and is the day of the Grand National, which will be televised at the stadium.
A number of other incidents from Chester have been looked into and it is likely that further warnings will be issued to fans, whose actions let themselves and the club down, in an attempt to begin to set the standards required for next season. Fans who act out of character on a match day should have the good sense to come forward and apologise, in particular to the club, and not rely on being protected by their friends. There have been a number of occasions recently where an apology may have gone a long way to avoiding repercussions There is no benefit in trying to justify the unacceptable actions of the troublesome few. It is better to look at the evidence, listen to each other’s point of view, and then learn from what is thought to be unacceptable. This way we can all move on as a club.
At the end of the day we should all be there for one reason, the development of the Football Club as the centre of our Community. Paul Cox and the squad have begun to show us what might be possible next year and we must all get fully behind them.

So again the cops have the club in they pockets to do what they like to barrow fans to get Anythink they want .How come when away fans come onto the pitch at street the cops and Club to nothing I would go as far to say the cops will do Anythink to get what they want

This sounds like a reasonable outcome to me.....As a club we should be doing everything we can to make sure people enjoy the game without the need for people entering onto the pitch, letting off flares/smoke bombs, etc....I don't know any of the individuals involved but I'd hazard a guess that alcohol fuels a lot of these actions? If so, would the same people do the same thing when they're sober??

I also don't believe the conspiracy theory that this is the Police trying to single out individuals and "get what they want". I think if they really wanted to do that then the punishment could've been a lot more severe than a ban from the last 3 home games of the season???

Well I don’t know who the author of that piece is, but although well meant I don’t think I’ve ever read anything so bloated and pompous. So a young miscreant is to report to the club and apologise to whom exactly? If Neil from the Young Ones was the chairman of a football club this is the kind of unrealistic hippy-dippy claptrap he might release. The banned ‘fans’ may have never been to the FBSS before and I doubt they will be devastated to be excluded from the Family Day and Grand National coverage!

There is an element of risk going to a football match especially an away fixture; if you approach it as a festival of peace and love where everyone is cordial and the Stewards will keep you from harm you may be brought down to earth with a bang. Has the author ever been to a big game? Has he or she any knowledge of the recent events at Atherstone?

Going onto the playing area is against the Football (Offences) Act 1991 and as such is a punishable offence

The fact is 2 fans ran onto the pitch and were ejected from the ground at Chester. They broke the rules and were given a very mild punishment. A slap on the wrist.

Will there be photos of the offenders at each turnstile?

Are they to report to the police station at 19:45 Tuesday & 15:00 for the other 2 home games?

How will it be policed???

As they were probably banned on the recommendation of the police I'm sure they will be looking out for them.
