Pretty sure that's not the bit he's got an issue with - more the fact that Cook isn't exactly the sharpest tool in the shed...mikemarshhewasgood wrote:Not unheard of for a striker/captain and if going by his enthusiasm this season, then why not give it a go

Re: Andy Cook
Aren't we trying to make him stay...? Fans questioning his intellect is the way to do that!!Moribund wrote:Pretty sure that's not the bit he's got an issue with - more the fact that Cook isn't exactly the sharpest tool in the shed...mikemarshhewasgood wrote:Not unheard of for a striker/captain and if going by his enthusiasm this season, then why not give it a go
As for making him captain, he already leads by example on the pitch. I'd kill for 11 players with the heart and desire that Cooky has got so why not have him lead from the front?

Re: Andy Cook
+1 why not have him as captain
"Some people believe football is a matter of life and death. I'm very disappointed with that attitude. I can assure you it is much, much more important than that."
Re: Andy Cook
I don't see him as a leader so I wouldn't have him as one just for the sake of it.
Re: Andy Cook
I don't either khayman if he stays which I doubt he will ? just leave him alone to concentrate on scoring goalsKHayman wrote:I don't see him as a leader so I wouldn't have him as one just for the sake of it.

Re: Andy Cook
Wonder if Rhead's wage will be more than we've offered Cooky
Re: Andy Cook
I find it absolutely staggering that some low life has the nerve to question Andy Cooke's level of intelligence when it is obvious from Moribund comments that he was not even in the queue when brains were being given out.
What the hell has that got to do with a footballers ability. God help us, if this is a sample of the people supporting Barrow.

He was once on Radio Cumbria and when asked if he thought Barrow had a good game, he nodded!
And you can't even spell Cook...

Just checking, are you really that dense? I hope I'm not spoiling the fun for anyone, but absolutely EVERYONE else knew that was a joke.stilltheman wrote:well said 45 yrs. moribund was also one of the key mo fofana for poty voices.

Re: Andy Cook
If you make somebody captain for the day for the sole reason of it maybe being his last match then aren't you diluting the importance of the role of captain? Admittedly, in my opinion we haven't had a good captain for a number of seasons but making someone captain under these circumstances, when there is a good chance it will be his last match for us, is just taking the [SwearFilter].
We have a captain, it's not Cook, to change it for one day is a worthless exercise all round.
If he stays, and we (hopefully) drop Grand, then make him captain for the future seasons if he is suitable.

Interesting,if meaningless in the long run, comment fromDanny Livesey interviewed on RC last night. He felt Cooky would be a fool to join another VN club. He went on to say that he felt he needed to be wanted and the top dog/first name on the teamsheet at any club. This he most certainly would not get if he joined a League club and would likely become frustrated if out of the action for any length of time.

45YEARS+ I don't think you've done yourself any favours calling someone a 'lowlife' on here - it doesn't say much about your own level of intelligence, does it?

I hope he doesn't go to Motherwell, watched them get stuffed by Aberdeen 4-1 today and they were absolutely atrocious, Moult who was previously with Wrexham was completely anonymous.
