According to Twitter,or some twit? ;)
Not the first time we've been linked, probably along with many clubs. Pure speculation, unlikely to be true and a big nooooooooooooooooooooo from me.

Even if ultimately found not guilty, too much baggage and an odious character regardless of the court case decision.

Guess you don't like the chap then ;)
I would give him a go but as you hint it may go belly up, possibly Billy Kenny style.

Excellent midfielder I saw play a few times in his Chester days.Played a key role in Fleetwoods promotion season before last but surprisingly freed. What is more he is a six-footer fitting the Cox profile.

IF there was any substance at all in the Evans rumour - and I doubt there is - the club would be well advised to steer clear. Whether he could do a job for us, whether he's paid for his misdemeanours, or was even guilty in the first place etc is irrelevant. The fact is that any club taking him on would attract a media circus and adverse publicity that would be disruptive and divisive.

Just read that myself, the Lincoln fans are discussing it here.

About the time we signed Hannah the Lincoln forum were watching with baited breath after Barrow announced the imminent signing of two forwards. Some thought one was going to be Rhead, though they speculated it could be Tomlinson. Hearn was mentioned but dismissed pretty much as everyone seems to have given up on him. Although disappointed one of them was Hannah as Lincoln were odds on to sign him, they all appeared happier when they realised the other was Bennett.

Man mountain target of a player easily marked out of the Lincoln game up here, season just gone. I know he can score, but can he run or for that matter even move? Can he adapt to our game and cope with shorter long balls?

If he had as much talent as Billy Kenny I might be persuaded! Footballing talent that is, I'm sure he has no problem with the other sort...once they've consumed a skinfull of yellow Lynx and lost the ability to utter a one syllable word...

Ha

I read a bit on Billy Kenny last night after the name came into my head, he was completely [SwearFilter] wasnt he. I recall him being left out of the side at HS and sat in the bar necking about 12 pints of guinness during the game. One wasted talent that.

Billy Kenny was probably the best player ever to play for us, but he had major problems as his shooting incident & jailing proves, He was head & shoulders about what we had at the time & his attitude stunk as he would best a couple of players & play a sublime ball but our team were on a difference wave length & wouldnt anticipate the pass then he woumd st and there arms flapping while beraiting those around him, he simply failed to adjust and cut a sorry figure who was swiftly phased out.

Quality player, but he's left because he's got a club lined up - more likely to be going up the football pyramid, I reckon.

Mike Marsh was a cut above what he played alongside but he had the intelligence to act accordingly - so i'd put him above Billy Kenny. Fairly sure we never had to bundle Marsh under a pre-match cold shower to sober him up too.
