If any more quality is added, well you never know.
not getting carried away.
Let's get positive for a change. What's wrong with high expectations? I am sick of the "not counting our chickens" philosophy.

A text has been pasted to the National League Facebook wall suggesting there is a new Far Eastern investor involved with the club. Could anyone kindly shed further light on this rumour?

I'm sure the Hong Kong visitors will be suitably impressed when I show them this later!!! They were friends of our very own Exile who was showing them around Furness, they've took a keen interest in BAFC since they donated some cash to the GMA fund a few years ago. We also showed them the plaque they'd bought on the HSE cladding, they then met Paul and they were taken to their seats in the stand by him as well.......nothing more, nothing less.
Unless there are others...
BTW, they really enjoyed the game and spoke to a lot of supporters who were sat close to them.
We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

Just had a text off Exile. They are now at the North Lonsdale Show----rumoured to be buying up the Lake District National Park maybe.
Delightful people and those smiles brightened up a dark dreary night. The Barrow supporters gave them a great reception too.
Now we need to get Konaldo and his friend Lars to Holker Street. Loyal supporters who have never made it to the hallowed ground.

impressed overall. Beeley was outstanding. Harvey looked sharp in midfield. Someone has taught the lads how to hustle and bustle and get to get the ball back. Lots of good anticipation and running back to cover. Would the @keeper coach remind Dixon of where the touch lines are. This is not Rugby so there is no need to kick the ball directly into touch from the dead ball goal kick. {just saying} Last 25 minutes was a bit of a mess but Cox did make around 7 changes. I think our achilles heal will have already been noticed. All bodes well for Aldershot. The Odds checker still has us at 12-1. Not bad odds but methinks a bit heavy. We are better than those odds.

At the moment, the best odds for winning the league are 18/1 and the best odds for promotion are 10/1.orpheus wrote:impressed overall. Beeley was outstanding. Harvey looked sharp in midfield. Match report. I liked the training kit Purple / White / Red. Bit different from what I've ever seen a Barrow side play in.
Third kit colours perhaps?

Re: Barrow AFC v Accrington Stanley FC
That reminded me of last season’s away win at Tranmere; I was stood next to a ‘local character’ who nearly hacked his breeches at the sudden bedlam when Barrow scored as he thought it was Tranmere in the red strip. He then lit a fag to calm his nerves and was ejected from the ground. I like a drink myself but...Holkerbird wrote:Anything is better than that hideous red strip we had last season.Jonty wrote:Match report. I liked the training kit Purple / White / Red. Margaret Cooksey and myself were in the "home" end at the Tranmere game and couldn't stop ourselves from jumping up and celebrating when Howarth scored right in front of us. The rattle diffused what could have been tricky situation..
