Highlight of the game for me... Alex Rae Harvey's full blooded tackle !

Too early after the game and still too soon to write anything else.....BP.

Didn't Edmo get a warning about the quality of the football last season ? This utter shit being served up this season is by far worse than anything under Edmo. The Tranmere game was the worst Barrow performance I can remember since I first started going in the 83/84 season.

Disappointed to say the least. With this line up we don't look like we have a lot of goals in us,so get used to scoring nil or one and trying to hang on.Not too impressed with Smith at right back,Bennett doesn't look like a natural goalscorer.Hannah who is a natural goalscorer isn't getting much game time.
MOM for me was Harrison by far.The number of times he won the ball in the air (for no one to be nearby for the knockdown) and his general play was way above anyone else.
I would start Hannah with Harrison at Southport and see how it goes.Another disappointing attendance.Perhaps people have made their mind up with our style of football.

Cox has never said that this team would make the play offs. He has said more than once that it is work in progress and a top ten finish would be a realistic aim for this season. If anyone is deluded, it is the fans who expected more.

Yeah but we weren't picking up results and were looking increasingly likely of getting dragged into a relegation scrap. Apart from the Torquay game where we won 4-0 we were beaten out of sight for about a month. Cheltenham weren't anything fancy when they were here last season and they won the league. We aren't going to emulate that and therefore my expectations for this season are a slight improvement on last with a decent attempt in the cup/trophy. I'm not bothered how we go about doing it, but that's not to excuse the way we have thrown away four points the last couple of games.
Popular side since '03.

Felt sorry for smith, played well at Dover, but as a full back today he had Hughes who never seems to track back in front of him and non of our play is ever down the right
, all our play is down the left to Williams. Hard work for for Williams today because they just doubled up on him knowing we will never play it to the right wing unless it's from a goal kick.

Don't you think that is just a clever advance cover-up for poor players and poor performances?

Only Cox knows the answer to that but you've obviously made up your mind.

Fair point but if you have been watching the home games I don't think you would be too quick to defend the type of brain dead football being served up it's banal!
I just can't fathom out how our management team expect to win games with our tactics, shape etc.

Barrow could do with a centre back like Boreham Woods Joe Devera.
He ran the show today.

Centre midfield is still out biggest problem. Have we played the same 2 in the middle in consecutive games this season?

Cox said repeatedly on his radio interview that 'we bossed it'.

I thought we did okay but were totally uninspiring, we got a daft penalty which no-one seemed to want to take and our keeper made a couple of good saves. We switched off again when the added time board was shown and paid the price for the second week in succession. I thought the visitors played most of the football and were worth a draw at least. Is that bossing it?

Cox also says 1 - 0 is his favourite scoreline, mine is 5 - 0 which provides a safety margin for when the defence knock off early and start thinking about where they are going that night.
We will foller the soccer, over land and sea...

The game was terrible. It will be my last till we get a goalkeeper a central defender , midfielder and proven forward.
If Paul Casson has the money he needs to give it to his manager, I do not like Dixon as a goalkeeper but why did none our big defenders stop the free header
.The team has gone backwards !
