Someone there on the night will more than likely ask the same question Mike - if not, I'll do it.glasgow_blue wrote:I'm on n/s down Preston Ian, I'd be grateful if someone could raise it though

Re: Ground Maintenance Area
There'll be a ground visit this Sunday for those interested. Jobs include -
Painting.
Some work to the segregation fence.
Some general maintenance work on both pop side gates.
General ground tidy up.
Some work on the car park to the side of the reception car park.
A few shelves etc in the X Bar.
Some joinery work in the ticket office.
Moving the fridge from the GMA to the X Bar which will become Martin's new "bottle bar"
Making a frame for the new "Next Match Board" which will be going up on the corner of Wilkie Rd/Walney Rd, so thanks to the Soccer Bar for allowing us to use their property & to Graphix Signs for agreeing to be board sponsor.
Plenty for anyone to get their teeth into. I'll check to see if buns and refreshments are being laid on this week.
9:00 am onwards.

Re: Ground Maintenance Area
Ian is there any paint because when I went down to do some last Monday I couldn't get access to the workshop with the key I was given and Ryan said there was no paint left anyway?
I might go down and do some painting this week if the weathers remains nice----I will buy my own.

Beautiful morning for a potter around a good tidy up in the workshop some essential equipment maintenance and painting walls and new next game board installed in an eye catching position while the pitch got some due care and attention and also a terrace tidy after yesterday's game...keep off the pitch is now official with its own brackets!!!

Decent little morning at the ground even with a few regulars missing.mrsenario wrote:Beautiful morning for a potter around a good tidy up in the workshop some essential equipment maintenance and painting walls and new next game board installed in an eye catching position while the pitch got some due care and attention and also a terrace tidy after yesterday's game...keep off the pitch is now official with its own brackets!!!
Elaine painted the interior West terrace wall by the Trust shop while Big Al painted part of one of the pitch interior walls.
Young Bailey spent nearly three hours cleaning up all the rubbish that was thrown all over the ground......even though we have about twenty bins placed all around the stadium with no one being more than ten seconds walk from one!
Gareth was once again trundling up and down on his big boys toy lawnmower, the pitch once again looks absolutely fantastic.
Whity 1969 came down to sort some lighting at the side of the Cross Bar which he should be able to fix on our next visit.
We hopefully have the bottle bar fridge sorted, if it is then that should be in use for next weekends big game. Thanks to Big Al and Austin for dragging that up there.
We were told some turnstiles weren't spinning properly, they've now had a little work done on them and with a bit of luck should clicking over very nicely come next Saturday.
IRVJ made the frame for the "Next Game" board (kindly sponsored by Graphix Signs) and that is now up on the corner of Wilkie Rd/Walney Rd on the Soccer Bars property who have very kindly allowed us to use that very visible corner to advertise our upcoming games.
Quite funny to see Mrssenoritta holding our board above another sign advertising some slimming diet....that won't have done them any good at all
