The current situation is skewed too far in the direction of the TV companies.
They pay so they say.

Plus you have to think about involving Plod and making sure they are ok with games being held on certain dates. Shouldn't take longer than a day or two, mind.

I assume that the television companies also need to carry out ground surveys and assessments before making a decision on particular ties. Very expensive equipment needs to be transported to and from the grounds and positioned both safely and for optimum 'broadcastability', floodlighting will, no doubt, need to be up to a particular standard in case of inclement weather during the day and capacities can be affected by the need to use certain areas of a ground which has a knock-on effect on H & S and segregation. This type of scenario will apply less to league grounds as they will already have existing procedures in place as a result of increased television coverage in recent years.

I am desperate to know what is happening as I want to buy my tickets (game and trains), just trying to find a reasonable justification for any hold-up. Of course, if our game is not even being considered for the telly, then the picture changes though we also need to take into account the number of agencies that will be involved with TTFC in planning this, including the local scuffers. TTFC is a small club 'run mainly by volunteers' who will not necessarily be available to move as quickly as we would like. However, our club's website suggested a couple of days for information to be forthcoming thus we may know something tonight or tomorrow. Let's hope so.

Call it a day, TT. :D

I knew from your first post you were 'putting out the bait' that's why I gave you the response you deserved.
Most on here probably can't be bothered to respond to your lame comments.

So...why don't you wise up and start having a sensible debate about the game ahead? You'll receive an excellent response from us all.

OR provide another one of your fans with the opportunity to come on here and talk Football?
If you think that's being highly optimistic - you could re-register under a different name... ;)

As mentioned earlier in the thread last year a number of games were moved to the Sunday so that the highlights of those could be used for an FA Cup highlights show on the Sunday evening, would prefer that didn't happen to our game!
Looking at the draw there's a lot of League teams playing each other and non-league teams playing each other so no idea what will be televised but with Taunton one of the lowest sides left in there'll be some interest in them. If its an early kick-off I'd be tempted to stay over.

Just been on Taunton's website to have a look at their stadium - there's not many photos - but a lot of it looks uncovered (similar to our own, near the corners of the pitch). No big deal, really. However, if it is a sell-out - just hope it doesn't rain!

Good news is: it's only 8 quid in! :D

There's quite a lot of cover. Behind both goals it's standing but there is cover (more than we've got at our goal ends). On the clubhouse side, there a small but covered seating area (which might be for officials etc) and on the other side there is covered seating along at least half its length albeit the rows of seating are only 4 deep (and you don't pay extra!).

And it's 6 quid for concessions. That include you TTK?
It all comes 'round again.
