Also an announcement on our official site about not contacting the club yet, as they will announce when tickets are available.

Not necessarily as they still have to get 2300 in through 6 turnstiles assuming they have the foresight to open all the turnstiles (as well as any additional gates) now it's ticketed but tbh I'm not confident of that bearing in mind their handling of the arrangements so far.PRR wrote:Excellent news, the right decision reached in the end and now a chance to enjoy the local amenities...!
I hope our club can also arrange the tickets soon in enough time for those that want to go as posting them out for those who can't collect them will be required and take extra time for delivery.

It's not up to us to arrange the tickets is it? Taunton are hosting, it's up to them to get tickets printed and sent up here. We're waiting on them.
At this rate I expect tickets to be on sale sometime around the second half kicking off when we're all safely ensconced in the Wurzels Enclosure at Taunton's ground.

Miles quicker if they agree we print our own and how many we get. Don't trust these not to mess it up now or be too late..anyone could see, with the gate they got last game and even a cursory chat with Barrow that this would need to be all ticket.
I'm willing to bet no one will be able to buy till Saturday at earliest.
Farcical, not our fault though.

To be fair we only have a similar number of turnstiles open on match days (if all 6 are to be open) and with ticket only entrance there shouldn't be too much delay. As long as I have a ticket in my hand before I set off I won't be too concerned.John Very Little wrote:Not necessarily as they still have to get 2300 in through 6 turnstiles assuming they have the foresight to open all the turnstiles (as well as any additional gates) now it's ticketed but tbh I'm not confident of that bearing in mind their handling of the arrangements so far.PRR wrote:Excellent news, the right decision reached in the end and now a chance to enjoy the local amenities...!

Getting bad vibes about this - the traveling/ticketing - not the game
Too early a start/risk of road delays/ticketing policy. Like many others, I'm giving it a miss.
Roll on Round 2!

Having already invested in two (not cheap) return tickets on GWR when it was cash on the door, I hope that we can get our tickets for the game without any problem. Am getting too old for climbing over walls.

perhaps we can get one of the kind people who frequent the coach to bring down ours!Cubbins Paratrooper wrote:Having already invested in two (not cheap) return tickets on GWR when it was cash on the door, I hope that we can get our tickets for the game without any problem. You can make it a day of football by carrying on to watch Holker Old Boys play Chadderton.

Re: Taunton v Barrow FA Cup game (now Sunday 6th Nov)
We have known who we were playing for over a week the game is 10 days away and still no details of tickets. If announced tomorrow I doubt they will go on sale before Saturday probably then for those with season tickets only, it's leaving it very tight for anyone that wants a ticket but lives away.
Would there be an option maybe to buy a ticket and print it off at home or have a receipt no that you could collect from someone.
