Re: Taunton v Barrow FA Cup game (now Sunday 6th Nov)
I take it the ones making stupid remarks about Taunton football club are the ones not going ,it's their club and they will run it as they see fit. Is everybody happy about the way Barrow have been run in the last 10 year, thought not. If we are such a big club then we should have stepped in and helped by printing the tickets for the Barrow fans, can not see more than 300 going so everybody should get a ticket.

We are far from perfect, I think things are getting better.
The people that have made remarks about Taunton's organisation of the tickets etc will be the very fans that are travelling to this game and it's been frustrating - almost two weeks after the tie was decided fans will be picking up tickets.
I would like to think that Barrow offered to help with the organisation of this.
Lets hope all this nonsense does not spoil what will be a good day out.

Barrow fans are the first to slag off our own club when we cock about, so why do anything different with Taunton!

Just been on their Twitter page. Don't they have a Fans Forum?
Some Joker has tweeted that Barrow is pronounced Barra. A guy put him straight and then the same buffoon says: 'BarraMarra'.
He again is 'put to rights' (Workington is mentioned) and then the tool announces he was born in Cumberland!
Who's the daftest? Marras OR Cider Drinkers?
We could start a brand new thread on this!

Re: Taunton v Barrow FA Cup game (now Sunday 6th Nov)
In the past for things like tickets for Cup matches our club have been pretty good.
Not disagreeing we've been bad with lots of stuff but with match tickets we've been pretty good and once again today have been good. I emailed the club and got a prompt reply and have my name on the reserve list. A lot of those who are questioning Taunton's handling of things are the ones who are actually travelling down there.
If we'd got the tickets a few days earlier it would've saved an awful lot of hassle as people could've picked them up at Saturdays game rather than relying on them being posted out on Monday/Tuesday or later that wouldn't leave a lot of time if there are issues with the post.
Nearer the time I think we'll need to how many turnstiles/gates will actually be open to try and gauge what time we should join the queue in order to be sure of making it in for kick-off?

17 pages over a few tickets, which always gets sorted. I hope to god nothing serious happens. I am still [SwearFilter] [SwearFilter] off when we had the Dover replay and the ground was a third empty. Hundreds of fans who went to Dover never got in, but all the hangers on did !!! Give Taunton some slack.

I see on our official site we are talking about Barrow v. Taunton Town. Have they switched it to Holker Street to solve the ticket problem?

Should definitely be some seats on offer for Barrow fans who need / want them. Very bad show if not.boyliegladbach wrote:Wonder if we'll get any seating for the people who like to sit.

The Trust bus will be taking a supply of deckchairs, camping chairs etc. Can't expect Taunton to have thought of this, they are only volunteers etc.

Re: Taunton v Barrow FA Cup game
This may sound like a silly question but does anyone know if this fixture is going to be segregated?
We've been allocated 300 tickets - is that to any part of the ground?

Re: Taunton v Barrow FA Cup game
Just rung and reserved our 3 tickets. All very friendly and helpful. Told us that we're numbers 125-127 on the list that we should hopefully be ok, but no promises. Took my number and will call on Sunday or Monday. Told me everything I wanted to know so all worked well so far. Fingers crossed now.
Ideally the tickets would have benn available at the game tomorrow because we're visiting family for the weekend and will be at the Eastleigh game. But the club have all the posting in hand for us exiles so no worries there.

I'm fairly certain there is no segregation. The Tomahawk Kid wrote:This may sound like a silly question but does anyone know if this fixture is going to be segregated?

We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.
