There is no positive proof that what happened actually happened except one of our opponents [3 leagues below us] went down as tho he had been struck by an Ali thunderbolt [aka the cheat from Woking]. If this sort of cheating is at this level below us then Football is surely in a great big mess.
This lad will be getting some stick next Tuesday.

At the corner that led to the goal, not during the incident that led to the red card. Whether or not someone went down has no bearing on the legitimacy of the red, just don't like people talking shite.

Number 4 gets knocked over at the corner 50% by your player and 50% by our player. Literally goes flying sideways. Hardly "went down as tho he had been struck by a thunderbolt" and that is not the moment when the ref blew for a foul. If it was, the goal would have been disallowed.

You heard there was a fake headbutt, let your imagination run away with you and have been caught out on video evidence.....

I actually didn't see it as I was taking my nephew to buy a drink. The video evidence is inconclusive. On both the BBC and Barrow footage there is one of your lads stood between the camera and Hughes/Irish at the moment when the crowd starts shouting - so there's no way to tell what they are shouting about. The match reports down here call it a "simulated headbutt" so maybe no contact, but a gesture? Couldn't tell you...

Fair enough bud, think inconclusive is the general consensus. I was down at the Taunton end towards the corner when we scored but my view was blocked so can only go by the camera images and it looked like Irish stood up bringing his head into contact with Hughes chin and Hughes took obvious exception but a butt??????? There was worse that went on in the melee afterwards and I expected a booking either side tbh, just to calm things down.

I've had a good look at the footage as well, and if the offence happened after the goal was scored, then you can't tell from the camera angles available, however there is the knocking over of the Taunton player, mentioned in other posts, was this the offence? Pass, again the footage available doesn't make this clear, but I believe the ref was alerted to the offence by his linesman, so that's when the whistle was blown, and not when the offence happened.
