When's the FA trophy draw ?

The FA Trophy is currently at the 3rd qualifying round (the current draw is here) and those games will be played on the weekend of 26th November. Barrow won't be in it till the 1st round.

The draw for the 1st round is usually done by early afternoon the following Monday, which is 28th November, so we should know by Monday evening at the latest. The round dates can be found on the FA website here.

The team is still taking shape if a little one dimensional in style, pity we could not play another way as well so to include Ross Hannah.
We may call it a stadium but peeing up against a wall on the popular side on Tuesday smacks of the 1950s.

Definitely not a view shared by me and I truly hope we do well in this competition.

Why would we not want to make it as successful a season as possible? The better we do, the more poeple will take notice and bodies on the terraces is what this team and the club as a whole deserve.

Tell that to Luton, Grimsby, Wrexham, etc etc...

IMO the FA Trophy has being devalued by the bigger clubs (and that should NOW include US). Think BIG. Think POSITIVE, for God's sake! I sometimes think that some on here still want us playing in the Northern Section...

Not only that but this competition is one that Barrow have a chance of winning. The FA Cup is a money making exercise but we all know that it will almost certainly end either at Bristol or the round after. For non-league clubs the FA Trophy is the big cup competition and something the Division 1 and 2 clubs don't have because they have no chance of progressing far in the FA Cup either.

Not only that but this competition is one that Barrow have a chance of winning. No it isn't .

Most of the top clubs in the National League field fringe team players from their squads and only if they make it to the later stages of the competition do they include first team regulars. It's viewed as being BIG by the lower clubs in our league and the North and South sections simply because it's their only chance of winning silverware.

Grimsby and Wrexham have got to the final in recent years so either they are so brilliant that they can have a Trophy run without trying or they took it seriously and progressed accordingly.
