Rochdale losing at home to bottom of the table chesterfield 0-2......down to 10 men as well
Re: FA Cup 3rd Round Draw (Home to Rochdale)
Very touching that the Cumbrians have a thread about Barrow - Rochdale. Suppose it helps them have some sort of interest in the Cup after the weekend...
We should have a thread about their thread!
People in Carlisle know all about Barrow and when questioned or challenged on something usually justify it by referring back to a trip their great aunt took in 1957 when it took three hours via Whitehaven and the shops were all shut (being Thursday afternoon when she arrived).

That would be the trust that runs the HT raffle, sell the programs for the club and run away travel. Do numerous other things like allow different parts of the community to attend through fundraising and also sponsor the youth teams.DIXIE wrote:Being a member of a trust which has no connection with Barrow AFC
Can you tell me then Dixie where there isn't a connection?

Unreal....All this nonsense is in people's head and it's not the reality of the situation is it.....It's been ST hikers & life patrons for donkeys years & still is ...Just because the clubs are taking names doesn't mean they are changing the the pecking order it means they are .....Just taking names!! Everyone wants then to be more Organized & when they show some initiative the natives have a hissy.orpheus wrote:quite agree. All this nonsense is just making folk not want to bother. Season ticket/Trust holders first. Then all openbarrowaberdeen wrote:Can see both sides of argument re Trust members getting a day and again thinking about the NSC too, if this was a bigger game how would they get tickets? One per season ticket is a pain because all that ST holder would do is look to provide tickets for their Barrow supporting mates to ensure actually its them that get them, which makes sense. We'll all get one anyway in this case however.
I don't get or like this list business, probably paranoia but lists always seem a bit Big Brother.
No doubt I should shush
If you want a ticket call into the club or email or phone and bloody ask for one, Jeez.

Highly unlikely this will sell out, however if we win it and get a home draw in the 4th round? The club should definately offer 1st dibs to those who bought a Rochdale ticket.

After reading some of the bile on Cumbrian Net it would nice to beat Rochdale and rub those marras nose in it.glasgow_blue wrote:Highly unlikely this will sell out, however if we win it and get a home draw in the 4th round? Will not forget how the likes of Kettering backed us when In the Vaughan era and Workington wanted us relegated two leagues lower.

When will tickets for Rochdale game be available? A lad at work ain't been for 2 seasons but is a big fan and is keen to show his support for the Rochdale game.

Big fan?
I don't think so, but welcome back whoever you are.

Don't bother pointing out facts to him Chris, he has his own made up.....barrowfan_chris wrote:That would be the trust that runs the HT raffle, sell the programs for the club and run away travel. Was it only last month we also paid for and donated two tablets to the community side of the club?
We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

But if things like this were advertised people like Dixie wouldn't make his own mind up.spirit of 1990 wrote:Don't bother pointing out facts to him Chris, he has his own made up.....barrowfan_chris wrote:

As far as I'm aware the BDF and ISC never got priority for tickets so why should the trust ? After all that's what it is in its current entity. And given recent revelations, it doesn't appear to be a well run one.
Not to say it doesn't serve a purpose after all it is responsible for travel and fund raising amongst other things.
Life Members/Patrons, season ticket holders and then everybody else.
It won't sell out anyways. I don't even think it will be close to a sell out. Hopefully it will be the round after!

BDF slightly different.
ISC we did organise tickets together through the club at Wembley and Sunderland.
It wont sell out anyway.
When was the last time we had an all ticket home game anyway?

Re: FA Cup 3rd Round Draw (Home to Rochdale)
Whether or not it will sell out isn't really the point is it? It's (again) about communication and procedure. I agree with a previous poster that it looks like a badly worded instruction on the official site. It doesn't say who needs to put their names on a list, or why, or what the outgoing info will be...
It may be just a clerical oversight but I think Season Ticket holders should expect the point of priority ticket availability to be made clear, just so it removes any doubt.
I also agree that stubs from the Gateshead match should raise people up that list too (unless the tickets go on sale before then in which case there isn't much that can be done on that one).
If you (generic you) want to increase your customer base then it is absolutely imperative that you generate confidence that you know what you are doing. That's my professional opinion too.

Not really a fair system though, is it? If you miss this game through illness/being away/bereavement etc, you miss out twice.glasgow_blue wrote:Highly unlikely this will sell out, however if we win it and get a home draw in the 4th round? Totally agree, that was my point.spirit of 1990 wrote:I think the answer to that Charlie would be - the Trust do a lot of good work for the club & the community side of the club, just an easy way of the club thanking supporters for the cash they put into it through the Trust.Bingo wrote:I'm a trust member but the trust is independent of Barrow AFC so don't see why any preference would be given to members re tickets
It's also another incentive for people to join the Trust.
Do you know what I would love someone like him to miss out getting a ticket for whatever reason, his reaction would be so funny.
