Oh yeah, the first - the second was awful defending too, I think it was a combination of Harvey and Anderton getting a bit mixed up. Anderton was great apart from that and one of our best attacking threats.

Not the best performance this evening. Ryan Yates sorely missed in the middle and Harvey looked lost without him. Credit to Wright though who I thought did a good job tonight.

Panayiatou looked nervy at first but also showed some real glimpses of quality and could be a real player if he gels with the team, and can probably feel hard done by not to be awarded a goal tonight.

Subs came too late for my liking (as ever) and it seems that our only real plan B is to whack Moussa up front and see what happens.

Some poor officiating at times, particular their number 3's horrendous challenge on Beeley, who followed it up by turning round and telling us it was payback for one earlier. Beeley as ever solid.

I think the better team over the two games won in the end but we relied on our luck more than I'd like us to have. Then again, a win's a win and it's good to keep the undefeated streak going.

I thought beeley was outstanding, the referee was awful. fair play to harrogate they never stopped believing, i think our fitness told in the end, first half passes going astray by a lot of our players. thought haworth wasnt up for it and we were better when subs came on. i sat in the stand and some of the comments that were made about our players were crazy, the weather was awful and the pitch cut up quite easily, apparently thats how coxy wants it for the rochdale game. overall a good hard game, onwards and upwards and i cant wait till boxing day

Meikle must be wondering how he didn't start after watching Haworth.

Harry P will be a real asset to this team his chance was well over the line.

Haworth is that much of a waste of skin I wouldn't use him for a ballsack. Terrible, terrible player.
The fight and determination from the rest of the team, and then the step up in class when Byron came on, was great to see.

Glad that we won, the 'get out of jail' card has been well used. Great to have a manager who believes in giving every competition serious respect. It sounds as if Haworth may have missed his chance to make an impression, but Meikle made a difference when he came on. I get the impression that Haworth sometimes can make a difference as a 15 minute impact sub, but tends to disappoint when given 90 minutes.

Very much a game of 6 halves, as has been stated by my learned friend Blue Nige it was sheer dross – Edmoesque even until the late introduction of the energetic Meikle. Wright was having a wrightmare of a game going down like Bambi when one-on-one with the keeper and passing to the Ref amongst his misdemeanours; however he could/should have had a hat-trick. You can tell he hasn’t got our DNA and to be frank, neither has Andy Howarth.

The latter stages of the game were as exciting as anything we have witnessed at the FBSS this season in a good old fashioned cup tie sort of way. Not only did we match Harrogate’s strong arm tactics we kept our discipline well with all the players of both sides getting to their feet without a fuss following some really strong challenges.

Harry Panner looks a bit of a wizard and I had to laugh when their time wasting keeper having taken an age to place the ball for a goal kick at 1 - 2, decided to then have a good ol’ drink as everyone waited, sorely testing the Ref’s patience and firing up the crowd which badly needed firing up. A further chortle was conjured up on the way home at midnight as I recalled a few people leaving the FBSS as the game was petering out to a 1 – 2 defeat.

Yeah - fair comment, they gave it a real good go as did Taunton but we look equipped to deal with anything with what must be our best ever non-league squad.

A bruising, highly competitive and entertaining contest. We deserved to edge it, roared on to a late equaliser from a surprisingly loud 800-odd, and backed by our fierce determination not to let our proud unbeaten record end. Our superior fitness, best shown with the spaces afforded in extra time as Harrogate chased the game, made victory a formality.

A night for players on the fringes of selection to impress, Lindon Meikle's stock rose. While not a directly fair comparison, Meikle was bright, intelligent and effective against tiring opponents where Andy Haworth had been restricted. Soon after his introduction late in normal time, Meikle's neat turn centre field released Akil Wright on a threatening forward surge. Several times more he stretched tiring Harrogate as part of a bold forward press, spearheaded by the attacking riches of Hannah (quality touch and awareness throughout and natural striker's composure for the opener) Harrison (class), Panayiotou (promising glimpses but heavy-footed, not yet match sharp) and... Moussa Diarra! Nick Anderton, who was possibly at fault for the visitors' second, maturely pushed this aside to grow into the game superbly, given licence to overlap and feed our forward momentum with rangy runs and panic-inducing crosses.

It was Meikle's right-foot inswinger that Wright powered home centrally to break the Harrogate resistance. At that moment, it was highly likely our freshness from the bench would prove decisive in extra-time. And so it turned out.

Inside 30 seconds of extra time, Hannah's left-footed drive through legs was athletically saved low to his left by Elliott, but Meikle was there, in from the right, to smash into an untended net.

The manner of the clinching 4th was fitting, blatantly time-wasting Elliott's spillage steered home by Wright. Elliott was disappointingly not yellow carded despite multiple warnings from the referee.

The pack shuffled, understandably we weren't as assured and organised as usual, but that contributed to an open, enjoyable game. Very useful game time for our squad and, admirably hard as Harrogate fought, job done.

Forgot to mention Ross Hannah what a credit this lad is to our club hasn`t sulked he always gives everthing!

How Harry's goal wasnt given i'll never know, he looks a good player, our defending wasnt the best, clear yo see Livesey and Diarra have created a class partnership, lets hope there both in the squad saturday!!!
