What the hell has happened to us at the back? It's only a few weeks since we looked really solid at the back now we are getting cut open at will. Mouss has returned to his bambi on ice esque performances from the start of the season and anyone with half a yard of pace has a field day against the full backs. Thank Cowps for Livesy or we'd really be in trouble

Lack of midfield - YES. Remember the days of George Smith and Brian A. Unfortunately there are not many great midfielders just standing around to be signed these days. If there is a good one out there at a fare price, Cox and his team will find him. One day a future midfield star will walk through the doors of HS and pull on a Bluebirds shirt.

In the mean time we have a set of good players that have seriously lost confidence. All the signs are there, and the more they try, the more frustrated they become. They genuinely want to please our supporters. But we are going through a patch where it just goes wrong for them. And the harder they try, the worse it gets. We read 'lack of commitment' and 'lazy' into their game. But this is so far from the truth. They are frustrated with themselves for not being able to please you and I. Byron would so dearly love to repeat that glanced header at Lincoln in every match. But his confidence is at a low and that's the realities of football for you. I think we have all experienced this in our own lives in different situations. So get behind the team. Encourage them. Make them feel that you are along side them - they need you on their side and want to feel you are there encouraging them - not picking fault when they possibly deserve it. Often they don't need you to tell them that they have muffed up. They feel it 100 times more than it appears on their faces.

In the end, confidence will grow again and the performances will reflect this. Let's not give players the feeling that its difficult to perform at BAFC. Word gets round fast and we will never attract the best players to our very special peninsula if that happens.

You guys are some of the best fans in non-league. You should never forget that. Let's use our influence to help Paul Cox to create an environment in which players want to be at our club and their confidence can bubble over. The best performances in this game are often created by the union of fans and players pulling in the same direction. The first half of the season was all about this. The second half could be as successful.

Sorry I can understand a couple of players being out of sorts but that second half performance was nothing short of shocking we were all over the place hardly any talking and I hate to say it but lack of commitment, I can accept players who aren't up to it but there was something seriously wrong, obviously things had been said at half time and unfortunately we had to watch the backlash!

Once confidence goes, decision making follows. Rushed or wrong passes, which has been happening for a few weeks now. Up to PC to sort things out and reading his comments in the paper tonight he's prepared to upset a few folk.
We've been punching a bit above our weight all season. The type of game they play was always going to run out of steam at some point, the next week or so will be very interesting!!

Blue Nige... don't look for things that aren't there. It's always interesting to speculate. But lack of confidence can be so damaging and transform a good team to shambles, without any other causes. The question on Cox's mind must be 'why did the confidence drop' and 'how can I restore it''.
