Exactly the same tactics as throughout the season, but executed wonderfully well on the night. A great and memorable team performance.
Once again every throw went down the line, every attacking throw lobbed into the box (incidentally, what we've give for a new player with a strong flat throw into the area - remember Rory Delap at Stoke City?!) Lots of balls pumped forward, but great commitment. The occasional bit of very skilful play. Nullifying the opposition by constant chasing down and powering into tackles. In many ways beating Lincoln at their own game.
The current Barrow very much at their best.
I was at York and I was in the stand last night - chalk and cheese.
The crowd played a big part with loudly shouted encouragement, sounding like they really meant it, even though the numbers were down.
Everyone had a good game, and were fully committed. Flatt's magnificent save was pivotal at 1-0.
Really well done Barrow, feet back on the ground and now let's takeout FGR.

Nothing really to add, fantastic performance and result. Lincoln looked far from nailed on champions and could easily be pegged back. Thought they've been in a false position for a while. Do the treble over them in the playoffs. Psychological.

The best game I have seen for some time. A great match to watch. I can hardly believe the difference between last night and York on Saturday and Southport games. Went home a very happy man

I genuinely cannot believe that this was the same team from York on Saturday. Amazed by the performance, but in particular the effort levels were ten times what they were on Saturday. I guess the TV cameras helps to provide a boost to the energy levels. I really think we need to bring some bodies in, not because the current players arent good enough but like they said on the TV coverage, those kind of effort levels with a small squad over a season are unobtainable.

Cracking result impressed with the continuous pressing and harassing and the workrate for the full 90.akil wright especially.the pitch looked terrible I'm guessing the groundsman was told not to roll it to help barrows style of play.

More subterfuge? After Harrison’s blow in the face it was obvious he couldn’t continue, however the process of him actually going off took about 10 minutes and still there was no sub ready. I guess there was a reason for this otherwise it looked a bit amateurish and allowed an under the cosh Lincoln a time out, refreshments and a team talk.

The Lincoln forum was mixed in its response. Some just hate everything about us. Others however conceded that the better team won whatever the style of play. I thought we just did what we do best, whenever we actually do it. Organised, tenacious, physical and focused was not really what Lincoln really wanted on the night and therefore tactically PC got it spot on and the players on this occasion executed the plan.

We do seem to have the evil eye over Lincoln at the moment and for the other contenders watching the most worrying thing for Lincoln last night was probably that we sort of gave a "masterclass" on how to stop them. As was pointed out on the TV commentary, they do rely heavily on Rhead not only as finisher but as an assist. Remove his threat and their plan B doesn't look that great. Moussa was all over him like a rash and we were cleaning up the secondaries before they could react. They have decent wide players but Arnold in particular looked cooked. Can only comment from the TV but the midfield looked a great deal more solid. Thought both Turnbull and ARH had good games as they tend to do when allowed to get forward.

Having read the thread again, my perception is that the response is generally pretty muted. I think the result would probably have been greeted a little more like the "second coming" if it had happened during our unbeaten run. The last two performances have added a sense of reality as has the lack of visible progress so far on recruitment. I think this is a reality adjustment kicking in demonstrating that the veneer of success that has been built whilst being very real, is still pretty fragile and that "sustainability" - i.e. the ability of the club to function consistently well at the next level - is still quite a way off.

The sub not ready thing happens at all levels. You see Premiership players all the time getting asked to get ready and then spending 10 minutes taking off tops, tracksuits, putting on tops/shorts, putting in shin pads, adjusting their socks, etc.

Harrison obviously wanted to run it off but it was pretty obvious to all that was there or watching that was not going to happen but that shows the desire to play and to help the team. Another factor might have been that it was not a natural position swap and a bit of re-organising was needed.

That was the best I have personally seen us play this season (I haven't seen too many games live), we were right at them from the 5th minute onwards. I have been a bit critical of Bennett over the past few weeks but hell did he put a shift in and added a bit of quality for the goal, Harvey is a man possessed this season, defence were extremely solid and the keeper getting a chance to show off his talents as well. The only negative is that Williams seems off the pace, for me. Maybe needs a couple of games sitting it out/resting?

Could be down to the squad size and the limited options open to Paul Cox. With Murray gone and Harrison possibly out injured it's difficult to see how players can be rested, although with two games a week that is something that needs to be dealt with.

We spotted one person wearing a white replica top who threw something and then scarpered but we lost sight of him through the crowd. Scumbag anyway.

After Barrow scored the 3rd goal a plastic bottle was thrown from the Lincoln fans into where the Barrow fans were stood and the police did nothing.
The Barrow fans threw it back and the police got their cameras out and were trying to find who threw it.
Typical Barrow police response trying to punish home fans but not the away fans for the exact same thing.

Can only comment from watching on the TV but I thoroughly enjoyed the game even though it wasn't one for the purist who would want to see slick passing and mazy dribbling. That said, you play the hand and the conditions you are dealt and the pitch isn't exactly conducive to that style with it cutting up right from the kick off. I thought we bossed it for 75-80 mins and were not really given the credit for doing so by a very heavily Lincoln-biased BT Sport.

I would echo everyone on here who said they would struggle to pick a man of the match and it could easily have gone to anyone in white but for me Akil Wright was fantastic, he broke things up, got box to box and was a constant pest in midfield, not allowing them to settle.

To read that Lincoln fans are criticising the way we play ... they only had, or looked for the ball up to Rhead and then fed of the scraps from that. As much long ball as us! A tad hypocritical I fancy!

I also agree with the need to add some more numbers not just depth to the squad - they can't play with that kind of intensity game in game out without being able to give some lads a breather.
