Bennet the most improved player this season?

I'd probably say A-Ray is most improved from previous seasons but I don't think there is anybody who does more running, chasing down or overall effort than Bennett. It's very pleasing to see a big striker making all that effort week in and week out.

Not me Keith, the credit goes to young Crowie. I just spotted them when looking for the Lincoln highlights and guessed that he's just started doing this recently. Good effort.

He's always been decent and has improved consistently over his seasons with us.

The differences this season appear to be that he is now much stronger and that the manager has him playing a slightly different, deeper role. From his interviews earlier in the season, Paul Cox seemed delighted with the way ARH has stepped up to the plate.

Can only comment from watching on the TV but I thoroughly enjoyed the game even though it wasn't one for the purist who would want to see slick passing and mazy dribbling. That said, you play the hand and the conditions you are dealt and the pitch isn't exactly conducive to that style with it cutting up right from the kick off. I thought we bossed it for 75-80 mins and were not really given the credit for doing so by a very heavily Lincoln-biased BT Sport.

I would echo everyone on here who said they would struggle to pick a man of the match and it could easily have gone to anyone in white but for me Akil Wright was fantastic, he broke things up, got box to box and was a constant pest in midfield, not allowing them to settle.

To read that Lincoln fans are criticising the way we play ... they only had, or looked for the ball up to Rhead and then fed of the scraps from that. As much long ball as us! A tad hypocritical I fancy!

I also agree with the need to add some more numbers not just depth to the squad - they can't play with that kind of intensity game in game out without being able to give some lads a breather.

The Lincoln supporters who criticise Barrow need to accept that they have not been good enough on several occasions to beat us.
I think we have the block over Lincoln and Danny Cowley whom I like after giving him stick when mànaging Braintree he just turned round and had a laugh with me,that's what football is about.

Yep we do need improvements in ground and players,so forget the fact we have a millionaire.

I would like to see a better style of football but you play to your abilities and as you have conceded five and only scored one reflects how good you are.

I've seen Barrow play Watford in our league days and Altrincham in there heyday.Both two we overun them in the first half it was0-0 at half time only to get beat 4-0 each time.

So we play to our strengths.

Bit like you when played us in the FA cup years ago.We had one Bobby Svarc on loan from you but you recalled him and he played against us a very good player.
He scored the winning goal with his hand which stood so less of the criticism of us.

Both us and Watford were near the top of the table and the game was played in weather similar to today.
Stuart Scullion (think he went on to play for England) was on the wing for The Hornets.
The Watford fans were the only ones that I ever saw 'take' The Holker End...

Lincoln can have no complaints. If you saw them play Ipswich the other week you can see they play exactly the same type of football we do, last night they were roundly beaten at their own game.

Sorry Dude; have to disagree with you. They DON'T play like us - well, they DIDN'T against Ipswich, anyway. They played some nice football and their winger Arnold made some dazzling runs...as did another of their players - whose name I forget. Came unstuck last night though!

Will have to disagree just as the Lincoln fans seem to . Unlike Barrow they have a midfield that holds onto the ball longer which really can make them look different, at least for a while. They are slightly different but they do play basicly the same way, high ball to a large target man with runners around him. We have Harrison and Bennett up top with Williams and whoever on the other wing. They have Rhead up there with Arnold and Robinson, etc. They hit it to the big man and hope to score or set up a chance just as we do. We just don't do it with the same finesse as they did against Ipswich. In that game they hit so many high crosses I lost count, mostly from a deeper position making them look more like a punts than a cross. Lincoln fans appear the same, some think we are the same others don't.
