Re: Jack Thomas loan
He sounds promising; any idea why Mansfield are letting him out on loan?

Re: Jack Thomas loan
Like any lad his age he just wants to play so it's win win all round, he gets to develop his game and we get someone who puts himself about a bit like yates did.
Re: Jack Thomas loan
Just missed his chance at Mansfield reading his managers comments. Figure in his future plans. Said he was 6ft 3" ??
Re: Jack Thomes
Hi guys...Mansfield supporter here, interesting to read your comments on Jack Thomas, great lad will give you 100% and tougher than he looks, looks just 6 foot to me. Once he has "played himself in" with your guys he should prove to be a worthy signing. He got several man of the match awards in his first season in the first team but has not been given much opportunity this term.I know his family, locals, have kept him on the right track. As for Coxy, he was a great manager for us and will always be honoured for dragging us out of non league. His football tactics are never pretty but effective in your league. He always comes strong in the second half of the season, when we got promoted we were tenth at Christmas but eventually won the league.Give him your unconditional support and he will drag you into the play offs.....Come on you Bluebirds! look forward to playing you next season in the league.

Re: Jack Thomes
It is really interestingly read the complementary remarks made about Paul Cox by Sagbol.Obviosly still held in high regard by the Mansfield supporters it made me wonder if he received as much flak about his tactics and selection as he does from the Barrow supporters. I think a lot of these so called critics think it's their god given right to Post their comments on here. Do they ever think the managers experience in far more comprehensive than their experience, gained watching Match of the Day and Football Focus.
York The game against Lincoln being a prime example, Harrison gets injured and the opposition are defensively set up to deal with two big front men. So the manager changes tactics and puts Williams inside and puts Hughes out wide. I thought it was rather clever it worked and Williams worked around Bennett and two more goals came about On this' occasion Paul Cox got criticed for not bring on Hannah. Which person has the more experience, the manager has been there and got the tee shirt. I think many lthink many of the managers critics on this forum moan because they can't stand to give other people credit for something they cannot do themselves. It brings to mind the quote by I think it was Abraham Lincoln who said Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt. Praise where praise is due and perhaps save the negative comments for a subject on which you are an expert, if any.

An arguably ok point extremely badly made...45YEARS+ wrote:It is really interestingly read the complementary remarks made about Paul Cox by Sagbol.Obviosly still held in high regard by the Mansfield supporters it made me wonder if he received as much flak about his tactics and selection as he does from the Barrow supporters. Re: Jack Thomes
Fully agree with 45YEARS+, our supporters, (Mansfield), did used to get on Coxy's back for his "ugly football", and dubious team selection, but at the end of the day we scraped numerous 1.0 victories which were painful to watch sometimes, but did achieve the ultimate aim. The season before we were promoted we finished second and York knocked us out of the play offs, but we had got there playing not-too-attractive football and defending in great numbers when 1.0 up......So .....my advice, if it is worth anything 160 miles away, although it won't be an entertaining ride at times, get right behind Coxy and your men, roar them on, cheer every mistake, no booing, (that's a laugh coming from a Stags fan!), this is your time to make that vital difference...it really does make a difference to those lads, you are their twelfth man.....and I can see Wembley looming..!! Good luck lads.
