Only the three basic mistakes that I can see within a single sentence. Is this being posted by the NWEM on the FAs behalf I wonder?
No, the FA are quite capable of making gaffes like that without any assistance - I remember last season a similar mistake was made on their website.

Just to clarify, the first tie is actually Braintree Town/Dulwich Hamlet v Macclesfield, not Braintree Town v Dulwich Hamlet/Macclesfield as stated by saltcellar.

Tough, but wiill give it more thought nearer the time.
"To achieve anything and to get to the Football League, we have to expect to win every game. I've got to get everyone believing that we can, and I will work hard to embed that mentality into the players, the town, the board and whoever else” Ian Evatt.

I guess Tranmere aren't too happy about the replay but difficult to know how interested they'll be in that game?
They fielded a full strength team on Saturday John so must be taking it seriously.

I can tell you it's another of "the only city in the country without a football team" candidates, along with Salford, Ely ...
Also, I do quite a bit of work around there. Pubs not up to much that I've seen.

IIRC the football club changed its name to 'City' well before the town itself attained such status.

Salford have a team. They're called Salford City

The trivia is about league football clubs. Salford or Dudley I think are the biggest!

Dudley is a town, and I always believed that Salford didn't count because they technically have Man United.
I once heard that it was Wakefield that was the biggest city never to have had a league team.

Don't really understand the Salford comment.

1. Salford is a city in its own right
2. MCR United strictly play in Trafford not Manchester or Salford
3 Manchester City play in the city of Manchester

:)

http://lovemytown.co.uk/footballteams/F ... Table6.asp

Population of Bath = 86,000

Possibly not 100% reliable info, eg Darlington (106,000) should be in that table above Stockport I think.

I dunno, just what I was once told - just looked it up, and Salford is a town, while the City of Salford is the name of the Borough.
Knew there was a reason!
