Where's the assistant manager gone?
Re: Barrow v sutton match thread
Dreadful. Tedious, predictable, flat. Still trying to bulldoze through but lacking the required tempo. We're fading rapidly.

Getting lucky with other teams results but we can't carry on like this. That was Sutton's first away clean sheet in the National League (and equivalent) since 1990 ha ha

Utter shite. Sutton came for a point and we didn't have a clue how to break them down. Hopefully it will stop all the nonsense about making the play offs. Hope the club was successful with the ticket deal because without that, think we would struggle to have 1,000 Barrow fans there on Tuesday. Lack of investment in January has cost any chance of promotion and i think it will be an achievement now to improve on last season's final position and finish in the top 10. Really pished off.

What a load of crap, zero entertainment value not helped by yet another inept referee. After the Torquay game it's becoming like Groundhog Day, even had the same yellow strip. Does it gat any worse than this before it gets any better. Missed the boat in the January transfer window and the silence is deafening from Paul Casson!!!!!
I don't belieeeeeeeve it!

Re: Barrow v sutton match thread
2 wins in 12 league games ladies and gentleman.
1. To be higher in the league than the club’s current position – not meaning that Barrow must win the next six games.
2. To raise the level of consistency of performances in matches.
3. To show a high level of tactical awareness to meet different needs and to deal with different opposition, including the alterations needed during games – to be reactive to the needs of a game.
4. To become a more potent force in front of goal (including different attacking aspects).
5. To show that we’ve got a squad that believes in the manager, believes in each other and believes in what the club are aiming to do, and that they are prepared to give their all for the club.

Re: Barrow v sutton match thread
Disappointing but we've learnt here that the depth of quality in our squad been too light to sustain the pace for a season. Losing too many influential players has cost us.
"To achieve anything and to get to the Football League, we have to expect to win every game. I've got to get everyone believing that we can, and I will work hard to embed that mentality into the players, the town, the board and whoever else” Ian Evatt.

Oh no, that's a massive loss .......NOT.prague bluebird wrote:Sounds like Hughes and Bennett will miss the Tranmere and Eastleigh games due to suspensions.
That will allow us to start with 2 different players who actually might put a shift in for us.
Too many players in this team not giving it 100%, shy away from challenges and headers....
We were woeful again and don't look like scoring.....I know we said it time and time again, but the ref had a shocker again today.

There were numerous points in the match today when Bennett was just ambling back to the half way line. If the ball had come back he would have been immediately offside (not that he's that great at keeping onside at the best of times).
Not sure whether he was slightly injured, disinterested or just lazy...

I'm glad we haven't invested heavily in Jan if we are losing £1 million a season - dreadful gameglasgow_blue wrote:Utter shite.
