Legend Status
Not a good way to start a post/thread, but I'm not sure whether this is deserving of a thread of its own but ...
Apparently last night on Sky Sports Jeff Stelling said Andy Cook was a bit of a legend in these parts (ie Barrow)
Whilst not disputing he did a pretty decent job when he was here, does he really warrent "legend" status?

100% no.
Decent player, good goal scorer, not a legend.
How close would he get in our thoughts to a Jonah or Cowps? dozens more worthy of being called a legend in front of him.

We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

Re: Legend Status
Christ no. In his first spell here he acted like a spoilt little kid. His attitude last time round was a lot better but (IMO) he ruined that with the careless words used when he left the club.

Re: Legend Status
He was great at leading the line, sometimes on his own. A good player for Barrow AFC who always gave his all but he falls short of being a legend.

To quote an old 'Carry On' joke, more of a Leg End.
He was a fans' favourite for a season, but he can't compare with Cowps, Kenny Lowe, the heroes of 66-67, and quite a few others.

Not a chance.
He could have been had he stayed and shot us back into the football league.

Re: Legend Status
Would you class ARH as a 'legend'? Reason for saying this is the time he's been here now.
