Not a segregated area for a segregated area at all, the HSE sign was working loose and there was a piece of cladding that had sharp edges pointing into the ground that could've caused an injury. The "segregated area" you mention was a very small cordoned off patch of the HSE.

We'll pop in after work on Monday & have it fixed for Tuesdays game.
Give me hammer and ten minutes and I'll fix it.

He says "...average league crowd..." so no, I take it that it doesn't include any cup games including the Rochdale game.
It all comes 'round again.

Fair enough - missed that. Still be interested to see if we are keeping fairly static, going up or down etc over the last 6 months.

According to Soccerway, our average league crowd is 1320 and that will drop again after today.

The owner wants a regular 2000 watching.Good luck to him.
So you're saying that the 1,300 who turn up regularly don't deserve league football because it's not as many people as you'd hoped would turn up? Warped logic.
Other teams will have been promoted from their respective divisions on crowds that were lower than they "hoped" for, it doesn't mean they are not worthy of it.

If we got into League 2, I don't doubt crowds would be up to 2,000-ish.

We keep talking about the crowds and the same themes over and other get repeated, the weather, the ground, the style of football, yes these things affect crowds but until the club becomes part of the very fabric of being Barrovian and fully embedded in the area then we'll be having this conversation for years to come. The key is how well the club becomes part of the community, On and off the pitch.

Currently we train in Manchester. Is it time to be bringing one training session a week to the ground, with the day combined with first team visits to schools/ college visits, community centre visits, hospital visits etc.

A presence in town on matchday, Bluey doing the rounds on a Saturday morning, "Where's Bluey" giving out clues on the social media on match day morning, with free tickets to the kids turning up in the shirt, photos with Bluey on the Facebook etc, all part of building that bond with the town and increase support.

Anyway, back to the game.... that Miekle though.

I just put the question out there MB. The crowds this year have been poor to say the least. You need people through the gates to pay bills, but even on reduced offers they don't turn up.Just my thoughts.

I think a new stadium would be the way forward IMO, but with new floodlights being installed at HS Ithink that's a non starter.

IF we moved to a new stadium, could the floodlights be taken with us I wonder?

You can discuss the pros and cons as much as you like. Mr C hasn't got sufficient funds to build a new ground/new stands or whatever. He's ploughed a massive sum into the team to pay wages and is keeping the club afloat on a daily basis for which we are all grateful, but he's not funding a new stadium. Face up to it, accept and move on.
