You know Adam29 I even named Martin Coy as the ref that did the Plastic Green Rovers last night, the ref from Durham. I stand corrected and it's now a worry that there are two refs equally as bad.

Had to chuckle at the Chester FC comments on the Deva Chat website. For a club with a very good level of support they don't seem to get many posts which probably explains the extreme nature of the comments posted. I particularly liked the notion of "cheating our way towards the play-offs". If it were actually possible to do this without actually breaching any of the financial or other rules of the VN, I reckon clubs would be queuing up to avail themselves of the magic formula. Coxy could then punt himself out for several hundred quid a day as a "Performance Sales Consultant" running courses entitled "Influencing Outcomes", "Effective Result Management" and "Charming Assertive Officials".

I guess a main reason why opposition supporters are generally speaking not welcomed onto opposition websites is the rather rose tinted view a supporter has of his or her own team and the resultant bile that tends to be spat out. We are all guilty of this.

In reality it was actually Barrows "aggression" that set themselves apart from both Solihull on Saturday and Chester last night. Chester were definitely a better outfit than Solihull but just weren't interested when it came to competing for the ball or harrying the opposition. We play at our best when we are right in the faces of the opposition and we did that brilliantly last night. Instead of focussing on the keen competitive edge that we showed, Chester supporters might want to dwell a little more on the blunt instrument of their team who's only success over the last few games was a rather dodgy win over Bromley at the weekend.

I'm not a total convert to the Cox style of play but for anybody in any doubt, that was a fine performance last night with every player giving 100%. In the last two games for periods we're almost back to the levels of September/October/November. Maidstone for a number of reasons will probably be the toughest of the three away fixtures so I'll contain my excitement until then.

Anyone remember the second goal we conceded at Eastleigh when our keeper kicked it straight at Matt Tubbs and they scored, well Flatty was at it again against Chester just this time the ball after impact on the forward spun away in our favour!

Mentioned on Radio Cumbria. From what I recall, if the opponent just stands there it is ok, but if he moves in any way it is obstruction and a free kick. Not sure how turning one's back would be interpreted.

FIFA guidelines state (in general - not referring specifically to keepers) make it even clearer:

Preventing an opponent from playing or being able to play the ball by clearly obstructing the opponent's movement should be considered as equivalent to clearly obstructing the opponent's line of vision

I would say that just standing in front is obstruction on two counts, both preventing keeper from kicking the ball cleanly and also obstructing his line of vision.

He was badly positioned for Bennetts goal and Williams goal was an absolute shocker, if keepers want to keep gifting us goals il keep calling them awful. Long may it continue

Love the fact that you aren't allowed an opinion if you didn't go. Highlights made the keeper look shit and he conceded two goals... Enough evidence for me!
