Far too soon to be writing off Effiong in my opinion, not every player is going to hit the ground running in the manner that Williams did.

How many appearances has he actually made? I can recall one start against Eastleigh, but other than that, he's come off the bench occasionally for maybe 15/20 minutes.

Agree with this. Think Effiong has done quite well actually with the game time he's had. It's a big step up in class but seems to have held his own and can now push on next season.

For once I can't see any real need to overly concern ourselves with who is coming in or who is going!
Paul Cox doesn't always get it right first time and not everyone is going to be a star. He usually gets it right in the end though and that will do for me.

When you have a goalie like Flatt in the sticks you realise what your missing.....

Cox has assembled the core of a team that picks itself, injuries excepted. To go one better next season we need to keep this core group of players together and bring in 3 or 4 key additions over summer. Seasoned campaigners who can bring that solid composure when we are managing games and have that calming experience at crucial times. Experienced Keeper to develop Dixon further, versatile defender / midfielder and a Cook or Rhead type frontman to go with Bennet/Harrison/Effiong. We are nearly there with this squad, hopefully they can see this and stay with us.
