Work due to start - foundations etc. Grant not awarded from football foundation, but expected. Work will be done regardless.
I hope Mr Straker's confidence is well-founded. I've been involved a lot with grant funding and the usual criterion is that it's to help projects which otherwise couldn't/wouldn't go ahead - funding of the last resort. The moment someone says "We'll carry on regardless" funders will walk away with the view they'll help projects which need the money more.

Perhaps the Football Foundation operates differently.
A very good point...

Extremely good point. If the football foundation saw that then they will probably think " Well theyve got a millionairre owner and they are willing to do it themselves so lets build Swindon Supermarine a new stand"

Will this be an LED system? (benefits are that LED systems are more efficient, less maintenaance, lower operating costs and last 5 times longer)

Is the system League 2 ready? (500lux)

Hoping Spirit can get the answers to these questions.

All the photo examples seem to be of tennis courts, 5 aside pitches etc...

I wonder what football clubs they've supplied lighting to.

Good point that, the number of times I've been to matches and said to people "those floodlights look shit".

Are you really serious, you have been to away games and looked at wether the floodlights looked good or not. Have a few more beers and enjoy the game.

Maybe it's my sense of humour but I think he is being sarcastic. i.e who really cares what they look like?

500 lux, appropriate for league 1.

Sorry it took a while Jonty, it completely went out of my mind!
We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.
