Indeed. I would also say Diarra ahead of Livesey? Certainly not for me! Harrison and Livesey have been far and away the best 2 players when I've watched Barrow.

Obviously both have been released because of age and cost. Still think it is a terrible decision to release Livesey and pretty surprised to see Beeley go as well.

Cox must see something in Elliot Newby, hence him being retained. He could step forward on the wing next season. Both Parry and Dixon have to impress in pre season training to earn new contracts and I hope we keep both.

Its obviously a money decision. Livesey is one of the biggest earners from the Edmo splurge and at 32 ,going on 33 ,would the club ever entertain a two year deal on such high wages? Could get two players in for the money hes on.

To be fair, if players look after themselves there is no reason for them not to be playing at a high level up to 40yrs old. The good thing about Livesey was that he was rarely injured and IMO could play for another few years at this level. No idea of his earnings but surprised with the decision.We will see what happens with the replacement.

Also surprised to see Harry Panayiotou being retained - not because of factors relating to his ability - simply because he barely got a game last season and because of rumours suggesting he was unhappy here.
